These do not have the hard soles like other Vionic sandals. They are squishier. Since they have a slight platform and heel, they are not as stable as I'd like. I'm accident prone, so I'm a little worried I will twist an ankle, but so far so good. I like that they are fully adjustable and comfortable, so I am keeping them.

I have Plantar Fasciatis & MUST have great arch support in my shoes when it is a sandal or dress shoe. I use professionally $$$ made orthotics in my tennis shoes & closed in shoes. Great to have it built into my shoes. I have a very high arch & Vionic has not disappointed me yet AND…what do ya know… they are stylish too. Not your typical “ old lady shoe. I normally wear a 7.5 in other shoes but I got the Pacific Alexis in 7 in the gray or stone color( whatever they call it). BEAUTIFUL

I got this pair (black Pacific Alexis) and a pair of the bamboo Pacific Rio at about the same time. I bought these despite seeing some reviews about tearing at the site of the elastic, thinking I would get lucky. Sadly, after only a month or so of almost entirely indoor wear I got the same tearing at the elastic site on the top strap that others have reported, so I have switched to the Rios and will try to return these. I hope they will make these without the elastic bit in the future as it seems unnecessary given they are adjustable and is definitely a fatal design flaw. I actually would also much prefer these didn’t have the shiny jewelly things on the straps either.

These are absolutely comfortable the second I put them on. I put the arch support in on the third day, and that felt even better, but was hardly noticeable. I didn't need to try the other inserts that were included in the box, but I certainly appreciate having the option. Since my feet have hurt all my life, having really comfortable shoes to wear is not just a relief, they are magical. Having no pain after walking on concrete all day is wonderful. Not only that, but the turquoise goes beautifully with my wardrobe!

Awesome shoe for overpronation and flat feet. Very few sandals will accommodate both my feet, since only one has all the problems. Due to the different adjustment zones, this is one of the few that I can wear successfully, with or without socks or pantyhose. I've already had another pair for over a year and they still look wonderful, like new! And the sparkles don't fall off which was a concern of mine. But I wear them mostly for church, or warm weather dress- up The footbed has nice solid support that again, accommodates both my feet. I purchase two more colors this year. Love 'em!💖
