Great little tool, but needs small modification
Nifty little unit, exactly what I was looking for! However, being made in China there is always a catch - the mounting holes do not match the picture diagram. They do not line up with each other and the weird rectangular-ish pattern doesn't make sense... I will use my drill press to drill new mounting holes; for me it is annoying but not a deal breaker.Hint: use the router base plate as a template to mark the holes you need to drill. Also, take the fence apart and use a square to square it up. Same thing with the bevel guide, true it to 90. For me, not a big deal, but for those less technically inclined it could be an issue.Overall, good value for 30 bucks! If you know what you are getting, this will be a great little tool to make a little router table for your trim router, though you could probably fit a full size unit if you were so inclined. I am going to clamp it to my tablesaw when I go to use it, but the possibilities are endless.

It really is as bad as the reviews say. Look elsewhere and save yourself the return.
Received today and will be returned tomorrow. As per other reviews, it doesn’t attach to standard routers, it’s tiny and so badly machined that it is pretty much unusable for anything requiring accuracy.Foolishly in thought it can’t be that bad…… IT IS!

NOT Worth my Time
This is one of a number of router inserts on Amazon designed to be used with a router lift for a 65 mm diameter trim router. I bought this along with a matching two-post router lift. I have no complaints regards the router lift.My main complaint about this insert plate is that the diameters of the hole and the counter bore for the a template bushing are over-sized and not concentric. They are also not centered on the center of the router bit when the lift and router are mounted to the plate. In my narrow minded opinion this makes it impractical to use a template bushing with this insert plate. This insert plate and lift are designed to be used with the “hand crank” for the router lift located approximately 1.7 inches (50 mm) to the rear of the center of the router. The fence covers the hole for the router lift crank. I will refrain from making further comment on this aspect. There are two screws used to mount each section of the fence. They are both M6 fasteners and use the same style square nut inside the channel of the extruded fence section. However one has a hex socket head head and the other has a #2 Phillips (aka ‘cross’) countersunk head. A minor problem that could be solved by replacing the latter with proper M6 x 12.5 mm long hex socket head head fasteners. The two scales (0 to 9 cm) have no meaningful relationship to anything on the insert plate except each other. Lastly I do care for the 10 mm x 3 mm miter slot or its accompanying cheap miter gauge. The “big surprise” was that the hole pattern used to mount the router lift is NOT symmetrical front to back. To be fair, it is symmetrical left to right. The only reason I am giving this insert plate two stars is because it did attach to and fit the router lift perfectly.I had a heck of a time making a dimensioned drawing for this part and found some surprises along the way. I am a half blind, senile old man. The dimensions shown in the drawing are as close as I could measure them. If I was going to use this part then I redo the drawing to normalize the dimensions to the nearest half millimeter. However I do not consider this part worth wasting any more of my time on. I have purchased a different 120 mm square insert to replace it.

OK parts but poorly put together
The media could not be loaded. The product is okay but was put together poorly. The rails are not flush with the surface of the base. I would need to take them apart and reassemble them with the correct alignment. The angle guide doesn't fit tightly with the rail and will jiggle and cause inconsistency in the angle. This is bad for a product that needs precise routing angles. One of the rings around the routing hole is too thick not flushing with the routing surface and therefore not usable. I might have to route or file it down if need to use it. The Allen wrenches included are of the wrong size. There are 2 sizes for the screws, but the larger wrench would fit the smaller screws while the smaller wrench doesn't fit anything. Some nice parts, but the quality of the product as a whole isn't good.

so easy to set up
So easy to set up and because the size is larger than just the plate it is easier to get the cuts correct free hand. now i had to modify the plate to be able to use the hole to move the lift cage. but it was just about half off so a drill and some files it looks like it was sent from the factory that way. if you are looking for a DIY router plate this is one i recommend hands down for small hand router !!!
