Transformers Legacy United Voyager Class Animated Universe Optimus Prime, 7-Inch Converting Action Figure, 8+

I can't get enough of this figure. Legacy united animated universe optimus prime (that's a mouthful lol) is just a beauty! The truck is 1-1 with the animation model. Even the feet making those weird bumps on the back is correct! The axe is fantastic and finally not only looks correct but also extends like in the show. The transformation is also almost 1-1 with the show. His arms fold the same, waist spins, back folds over the top. It's fantastic that it even has that small of an accuracy. The robot mode also is amazing. The head is perfect. His arms are extremely accurate to the shape of the show model unlike the original voyager(no shade at that toy). His legs are almost 1-1, only his knees are slightly too big, but that's no biggie, especiallysince he got rid of those huge grey blocks on the side of his legs. His crotch has the right pattern instead of just the g1 yellow splotches (again, no shade towards the og voyager). The torso is great. I know that many people think it's too bulky, but I think it works. I always thought the original animated optimus toys were a bit too skinny compared to his show counterpart, and while this is a bit too bulky, it is much closer to the shows superhero optimus proportions The articulation is amazing, allowing for some fantastic poses. I can only hope now I get another opportunity to buy this toy with his wingpack! Mark and Shu san did an absolutely fantastic, and may I say masterpiece of a job on this guy. It is just if animated optimus jumped out of the screen and had some extra detail thrown on him. Which is fine, because if it's fine on the modern g1 toys, I see no reason why not on animated. I just now need the transformers team to make a bulkhead and ratchet to finish off the crew. This is definitely one of my favorite optimus figures.

I was a huge fan of the Animated series growing up, so when I saw that Legacy was creating a version of Animated Prime, I was all in. Upon seeing the product pictures, I was a bit disappointed. The chest seemed huge and wide compared to his slimmer build in the show, and they decided not to give him his battle mask. Despite this, I ordered the figure anyways.I'm happy to say I was totally wrong about my doubts. The figure is amazing and it's a great restyling of the original design that keeps the most important elements of the original while updating it into the Legacy style. He is big (even for a voyager), bulky yet proportioned, and looks super stylish. The paint and colors pop just as you would expect from an Animated character. Articulation is terrific, able to pull off a large variety of poses. The included Battle Axe looks terrific as well, the blue translucent plastic on the blade is a great touch.The transformation is fun and has a good mix of simplicity and creative engineering. The truck mode is overall great, but like many other Prime figures recently, the truck bed has some kibble that looks out of place. It's not as bad as SS102, but it's still noticeable enough to where you'd think "what is that even supposed to be?".But I keep my figures in robot mode most of the time, and the robot mode is terrific. If the truck bed issue wasn't there, this would be a perfect figure. Despite that flaw, this is one of the best Primes recently released.

Nice toy

This is a great figure. Transformation is really fun and easy, articulation is great, comes with a really cool axe accessory, plastic quality is pretty good not what I was expecting but not bad. Knees are a little loose on my copy but the rest of the joints are as tight as you'd like. It is a stylization of the original Transformers Animated Optimus Prime so don't buy this for screen accuracy, but for a modern reimagining it really succeeds in that. I highly recommend this figure if you're a Transformers collector or just a fan of Optimus Prime.

One of my favorite Optimus Prime's from one of the best Transformers shows, "Animated", only 2nd to Beast Wars in my opinion. Will buy all repaints of this mold. Pose-ability is great, although thighs are too short so he cannot kneel, which is something i like my figures to be able to do.

...but with the DNA kit it quickly became one of my favorites!!!

Toy has great molding, the details are wonderful.Transformation is a little finiky around the chest in bot mode.Poses well, and hands are held in with a ball joint thanks to part of the transformation meaning making spare hands with a 3d printer would be pretty easy.

He feels so high quality and bulkyLike a true dedicated action figure rather then transformer.He's super detailed and has a lot of good paint applications (including a detailed interior in his torso with a steering wheel and etc)The axe can be collapsed and expanded like in the show, and the rear of the axe is blast effect compatible to give it a jetfire effect
