The smoke detectors in our new home were very sensitive and we’re constantly going off. It would drive me and our pets crazy! I was a little skeptical when I bought this, but thought I would give it a try. I’m so glad I did. It worked absolutely wonderful. The smoke detectors haven’t gone off since I started using it. Not only does it work great the design is attractive enough to leave it on the counter when not in use. The only downfall is the fan motor is a little loud, but it needs to be to do the job that it does. I highly recommend this product.

Works well but it is loud.

Some people complained about the noise, and it is a bit loud, but not overly so to me. I don't use it on the max setting because the lowest setting does the job. My wife cooks some very smelly herb concoctions on our induction cook top and I cook fish. If she forgot to use the Kitchen Hood, I just turn it on low for a while, and the odor diminishes significantly and goes away on it's own pretty soon. My fish smell also diminishes significantly and goes away pretty soon too. I like this little product, and encourage anyone needing a kitchen counter top hood to try it out a while. It isn't magic, yet does a pretty decent job.

Works great when you don't have a legit hood fan. Smoke, smells, etc, no problem

It's quite noisy and didn't have much air pull. The first time I used it to grill burgers in a cast iron pan, and placed it within 12 inches of the pan, the smoke alarm went off. Good idea but inferior product.

Works well, bought for our small condo that didn't come with a vent over the stovetops. Not too loud, great quality and value for money! No issues so far and appears easy to clean/store.

Great item for his side

This is not a good substitute for an exhaust fan. It is very (very!) noisy, and it moves the air around a little, but won’t work well if you really need an exhaust fan for your stovetop or oven. Very overpriced for what it does.

I am not sure what this could be used for - the draw on it is so weak that it didn't even 'sort of' pick up any of the smoke. It wasn't what I was hoping for . . .
