Q: Do you have to use the remote in order to activate the flicker function? Or, will a candle flicker without any use or intervention of the remote?

The Remote is not needed to turn on the candle and it already flickers when activated. The remote helps with the the brightness of the light, the Timer of the candles run time and to turn them off and off in unison.

Q: What color is the led bulb? is it warm white or orange?

The light has more of an orange warm color, however you can control the brightness to it by the remote.

Q: One of my candles doesn’t work, what can I do?

I would try changing the battery first. If that does not fix it, I would call the Manufacture to see if there is warranty on it.

Q: Is it possible to buy a replacement remote, our dog seems to think they are chew toys.? Is there a less expensive set with same remote?

I am sure if you contact the company you may be able to buy a remote but I am not 100 percent on that answer.
