Awesome, works like a charm. Had grass sprouted and growing in 5 days!!! We graded area, put layer of compost down with the spreader, use the Wiz grass seeder to spread grass seed and then put another two layers of compost on top with the spreader. We only watered area in the morning (which I was worried about - was it enough??) Now it's 2 weeks later and looks like a golf green!! This spreader is amazing, puts a nice even layer of compost down, we love it!!!! Well built and one of the best items we've bought in a longggg time!!

Update: the company reached out and was very supportive in supplying a new version which they say has a newer style of stronger clasps. I have updated to 4 stars for the company remedying the issue. I will update again next year when I need to use it again with how well the new clasps work.Original review: I used this to spread topsoil/compost mixture. on the first turn the door flew open and what was left flew out. the metal hooks for the clasps were bending. in fact it seemed like suddenly everything was just a little off like bent or something. one of the clasps then would stay down - kept popping back up. i gave up quickly and now it is just sitting in my driveway and I'm not sure what to do with it since I didn't use it until after the return window passed by.

So far so good.As others have stated, the door latches are a bit too lightweight for the volume you are pulling. Will update after more usage.Used for 1 hour and two of the 3 latches broke off. Contacted customer service and will update review once I hear back.Update - Customer service was great - sent me new latches which, unfortunately were identical to the originals and broke/bent again. They refunded the purchase price for the item after the second failure. Everything else about this well built except the door latches. You can hold them closed with some heavy harness ties. I ended up purchasing these latches from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WRFTK8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 which have a lock pin option and drilled holes in the door etc. to mount them. I would give this product a 5 star if they could fix the latch issue.Update to the update!! The manufacturer added two heavier duty latches to the unit and sent an entirely new unit to me (unprovoked and at no charge!) asking me to test it out with the new latches. I used for over 3 hours with no issues with the new latches! Nice modifications and excellent customer service!!

I've had the Landzie 24" spreader for a almost a year and love it. I did some excavation so I decided to purchase the 44" as I now I have a lot more area to cover. I didn't make it 20 feet until the rivets broke on 2 of the 3 hinges. I'm returning the product as I see the latch system has a high risk of failing on a replacement as well. I can't say enough about the 24", but the 44" with the tow behind option could stand a heavier duty latch system.Update:Customer service was amazing and they sent me a new spreader with upgraded latching hardware. Highly recommend this company!

product is as described and for the cost, it seems to be built well. It should do the work we need done for turf renovations.
