Good Designed Big Button Basic Phone - Denver Big Button GSP-120 Senior Mobile Phone
A very good designed big button phone for use by older people who have less than ideal finger / hand dexterity. It is a basic phone and nice and small but the screen is clear and well illuminated. The large keys are well designed and have a nice positive action. The instruction leaflet from the manufacturer Denver (not the seller of the phone) is very basic and does not explain all about setting up and using the phone. However, 3wisemonkeys used the Amazon message system to send me a link to a quick start guide they themselves have produced and within 24 hours of me receiving it and without me having to ask them! This is excellent service from the seller.A very nice feature of the phone is that it speaks the numbers as you dial them and the numbers on the display are nice and large as one is entering them. Another excellent feature is to be able to store 8 numbers (what the phone calls love numbers but in the Denver guide called speed dial). When one presses the relevant key 2 to 9 for 2 seconds or so it auto dials them. It also has an SOS number feature but I have not set this up yet.The battery looks a good size so with it being a basic phone there should be no reason why it will not give very reasonable battery life. The desktop stand charger is also a very nice feature and this allows one to place the phone in the stand to charge it. This means the user is not having to plug in a small USB cable plug which has to be in the right orientation which is again useful for people with limited hand dexterity and / or not so good eyesight. The USB cable can be plugged into the phone directly if one does not want to use the desktop charging stand.Only had this phone for two to three days but up to now it is an excellent buy for the purpose it was intended for and seems good value for money.

Highly recommend as a basic phone for elderly
I purchased this phone for my 84 year old dad who struggles with normal phones. He has been using the phone for last one month and I must say, it's a great phone for the elderly with great usability features - large and lighted buttons, prompted dialling numbers, simple layout with two large buttons on each side to accept or reject calls, loud ringtone and call volume and finally, a screen with decent size and resolution. The red alert (SOS) button on the back of the phone is a great safety feature, in case of emergencies. The charging dock is a nice idea- it helps to secure the phone in a place (just like a fixed landline) and also ensures that it remains charged. As some of the reviewers rightly commented, the phone package (with a very basic operating manual) seriously lacks instructions on how to operate the phone effectively. Some of the instructions are just intuitive and not mentioned anywhere in the manual. As an example, the torch could be made on/off with a prolonged use of the menu button (I discovered that functionality as there's a small torch icon there) but it will be quite cumbersome if you try through the menu (not mentioned in manual). Would recommend this item highly for older people but suggest that an initial setup done by someone.

Amazing value
I bought this for my mother who is not good with technology. Although very cheap, I was amazed by the quality. It is small, as it does not have a touch screen so does not need to be big. The buttons are large and say the numbers as you dial them (can be turned off). It has 2 SIM slots for different size SIMMS. Something more expensive phones don't have. It comes with a manual in English which is easy to understand. Also something you don't get with more expensive phones. SOS button is a great idea. If you don't want a smart phone, this is great.

Ok as a bsic phone
It's OK as a basic phone with large numbers etc and easy to use for basic phone calls. However, I bought it primarily to use in the car which has Bluetooth facility. It has taken the efforts of a couple of friends to finally link it to Bluetooth and now it won't transfer the telephone contact list on my SIM card onto the car Bluetooth so is virtually useless. The other problem is that the phone comes with a Very, Very basic users manual that gives virtually no help using the various phone facilities i.e linking to Bluetooth. I would not have bought this phone had I known what problems I would have.

Easy to use for a person with Poor sight for calls and texts
This was bought for my 76yr old mum who has Macular Degeneration and mild cataracts. She loves it! The size of the buttons are much easier to use than her previous phone and it says the number as you type so you can hear if you make a mistake. The screen is also much larger and clearer than a lot of other phones. Some reviews said they had a problem with charging it but so far we haven't had that problem. The SOS function is great and as the button is flush on the back, it is less likely to be pressed accidentally unlike the phones where it is on the side. The set up is much like the old Nokia s. No bells and whistles but for a person with poor sight, that needs a phone for calls and texts, this ticks all the boxes at a great price.

Handy gut; Beschreibung furchtbar
Soweit, so gut.
