Hi can you tell me how long the cable is on this lamp thank you

The lamp has a cable connecting to the light at the top (internally) it ends at a connector block at the base of the of the lamp (near the fixing holes) you then fix your cable to this connector and you can have the external cable length as long as you want

does anybody know the base size and what type of lamp cap does it take 27 ES or BC etc?

It takes E27.Not sure of the base size. We have ours in a primary school corridor and have set it in a bucket of sand, so I can't check. Also, we have used a battery operated tea-light instead of the bulb. If I remember correctly, it was not a UK plug, but I'm not able to check that at the minute.

when assembling the post sections the threads stripped and the three sections wobble as they won't tighten up properly. Could you help me?

put some adhesive on the screw thread and allow it to dry to fix the sections together
