Thoughtful, Quality, I'm Impressed!
I thought this is just a box. It's much more than that. It's just a plyo box, right? How hard can it be to fabricate it, ship it, include instructions and hardware, right? Well, BOUND just proved exactly how high you can go in thoughtfulness and quality of product - I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED.- First, the box comes in pieces (the smaller ones come with 6 flat pieces, I think that largest one comes with a 7th piece for support inside) - they are laid flat inside a cardboard box -- but the cardboard box is inside another cardboard box, just to make sure it doesn't get dinged or scratched when handled through the shipping companies- Then, the wooden pieces themselves are very accurately grooved/machined to fit snuggly and precisely with each other. Light taps from a rubber mallet push them in and they fit without a hitch. Not having a rubber mallet on hand, I just struck them repeatedly and gently with the palm of my hand (I don't recommend it though) -- they fit perfectly- They even include a full-size container of wood glue to hold the pieces together while you screw in the screws - but that was not even needed -- still, though, I'm impressed with them including the wood glue- Then, the instructions. They are printed clearly, with nice English that's also casual and fun to read- Lastly, the hardware. Oh my god, I have **never** seen wood screws like these. They are SUCH HIGH QUALITY, so easy to screw in, and fit perfectly. BOUND EVEN INCLUDED SPECIALIZED BIT FOR YOUR SCREW DRIVER (WHAT MANUFACTURER DOES THAT?! AWESOME!!!)- To put the icing on the cake, they even included **four extra screws** just in case!Seriously, I have never seen an assembly-required product of higher quality or thoughtfulness --- thank you BOUND!P.S. I accidentally ordered the smallest box but wanted the biggest one, I am proceeding to buy the biggest one immediately from BOUND.

Assembly is Every Bit as Good as Advertised
Assembly went extremely well. The pieces are made to fit exactly perfectly if you tap them in with a rubber mallet. And banging away leaves no marks. The instructions are easy to understand; it might have been a little easier if they had marked the boards by the letters that correspond to the letters used to identify the pieces in the instructions. But with a little bit of lining things up, seeing which pieces matched which other pieces - it's quite easy to understand. There are only 3 pairs of boards, and worst case if you mis-match you can tap them out again with the mallet.I assembled the whole box, including the excellent internal support boards, and then screwed it snug. The screws are solid, the square-bit heads are perfect, the bit they provide is exactly right, and most of the time i could sink each screw on one go. Sometimes it took two, but that could just be the angle i was standing or kneeling at with those. Each board has 7 layers of plywood, there is no warpage of any kind, and the box is substantial. The handles openings are very helpful to move the box around. These are thoughtful folks; they include a tube of wood glue; i think it fits together just fine without the glue. Since i may be moving in a year or two and might need to disassemble and reassemble, i skipped the glue, but it's there if you want it.There's no doubt this is a solid box that will withstand some jumping and leaping exercises. It's heavy enough to hold up well over time, and light enough to move around a room.

Easy to assemble and properly manufactured
My (16/20/24) plyo box was well-cut and properly pre-drilled. The screws were ~2" long and extras were provided, along with the appropriate drill bit. I assembled it, using the very nice instruction sheet, using only a small ratcheting screwdriver (pictured) and my physical weight, to press pieces flush. I'm an average size woman, and not a woodshop master, but it couldn't have taken me more than 30 minutes, which was mostly b/c I was too lazy to find my drill. I found it easiest to start by connecting the puzzle pieces of the sides flat against the ground, using my knees to press them together, and leaving sufficient wiggle room that I could hinge them upright after they were already connected, then use my body weight to press them flush. Otherwise you'd need a rubber mallet (which I was also too careless to find.) This plyo box does not have internal braces, as some do, but it is plenty strong. I did some research on the topic and determined that reinforcement was probably a bit overkill. This thing would be very hard to break indeed. I did not receive a tube of glue in my package, as another reviewer mentioned, which is fine, as it is not mentioned in the product specs, but it would've been cool to be mentioned (as optional) in the instructions, as I would've glued mine if I had thought of it. Like I said, I'm not an experienced builder.

Pleased with product and service
I usually don't do reviews but thought I'd share my experience. I ordered two boxes the 12/14/16 and then the 16/20/24. When the boxes arrived, I started with the smaller box. It was very easy to put together and took about 20 minutes. Although the instructions said you needed a rubber mallet to hammer the pieces together, I was able to use my fists and that worked fine. This box is rather small but I got it for my wife and it works great for her. When I opened the shipping box for the 16/20/24, I had a few boards badly damaged. I emailed the company and they promptly sent me replacement boards which I was very pleased with the service I received. I weigh 250 lbs and this box is plenty sturdy for me and gives adequate surface space to jump and step on. I'd recommend this product because of it's quality and ease of putting together along with the company's service in making things right.
