This stuff is amazing! I've been looking for something natural and came across these types of plain oil/lye soaps. It has a very strong scent that I think is really good. It's a sort of a woody, herbaceous natural scent. I use it when showering as body wash and face wash. It leaves the skin squeaky clean, moisturized, and feeling wonderful. It's hard to describe how much better it is than standard modern soaps that leave skin dry and itchy. I've been using it for a few weeks and think it'll probably last a long time because it only takes a tiny bit each use, it's strong. Additionally, the one I was sent had a sticker on it noting it was a special batch with 30% laurel oil, very much appreciated.Edit note:If you have hard water, it'll eventually get your hair waxy when used as shampoo. I recommend not using it as shampoo if you have hard water.

The price seemed a little high, but I wanted to try handmade soap of the type the Romans probably made, and this seems like the right stuff, to me. The scent it gives to whatever's washed can be distracting at first, but I really like it. It has grown on me. It does seem to clean better, in the same water, than as my Castille soap. It seems as thorough at removing oil from hair as a detergent, which is impressive. I would buy it again.If there is any downside it's that I'm used to a harder soap, and hardness usually correlates to how long a soap is going to last, where as this is a softer soap. On the other hand, the bars are so large you probably won't notice them shrinking quickly. I say give it a try.

These are a masculine scented soap, similar to sandalwood, maybe a bit of tobacco smell.I got it for its natural composition, and the fact that I have sensitive skin. I also understood that it’s very good at eliminating body odor, which I can attest is true, as I use this soap with crystal allum salt deodorant and have had no odor issues.I do end up only using it on odor producing parts of my body, and then wash the rest of my body with a more feminine scented soap, as I just am not a huge fan of smelling like sandalwood and tobacco.A great product, I would just wish that the scent was more friendly to women like myself!

First time in my life I found about aleppo soap in my trip to Syria many years ago. Later I was trying to buy this type of soap a few times but every time it was not the same. I don’t know why I decided to try to order it again and why I picked this seller (honestly i ordered from another two sellers and returned ) but I’m happy I did it! This soap smells right! Smell is very important. It’s a first step to understanding if it’s real one. This one smells exactly as it supposed to smell! It doesn’t dry skin also as it supposed to do and it’s foamy. And it’s green inside light brown outside because of oxidation.I see low stars reviews where people mention the weird smell. I wish they mention they bought this soap first time in their life! When you are going to buy for instance “lavender soap” you expect to smell lavender, right?:)) I believe when people read “olive oil soap” they expect to smell olive oil but it doesn’t smell like olive oil. Especially there is also laurel oil added. But trust me: this soap smells the way it has to smell. By the way I also use it for my cashmere and silk. It was also recommended when I bought it first time in my life

Having sensitive skin i am always on the look out for more natural products. This is all natural, fragrance free and easy on the skin. Seeing that it is said it helped with psoriasis and it could be used on the hair is a plus. So far I like it and as for the smell it reminds me of the soap my grandmother made. Not the sweet fragrance of store bought chemical paced soaps but a nice earthy natural smell that doesn’t linger forever on the skin. I have no problem recommending this product.
