Handy little gadget to keep meals separated during cooking
I'm able to use this in two of my largest skillets, which are both 10". One has straight sides; the other has a curved bottom/sides. It fits both skillets quite well and sits level across the bottom due to the flexible ends of the divider. It works great to cook half a meal with veggies and the other half without to please everyone. There is a bit of liquid and egg transfer between sides, but not a lot. It's easy to use and easy to clean up and store. It takes up very little cabinet space, which is important in my small home.I really like it and would recommend it.

Works decent where it fits, interesting product
I don't like onions, but many recipes call for them and my wife likes them so this seemed like a good compromise instead of needing to cook with two skillets or other tricks. It mostly works, but things can still slide underneath sometimes, so I wouldn't use this if someone had a serious allergy for example, but for picky eaters/preference, it does the trick and keeps like 90%+ of the solid bits separated. I'm not sure it would be enough if one person was a vegetarian or vegan though, as some juices and small pieces can still get passed it if you're not extremely careful. It could be better maybe if there was some kind of magnetic strip on the flat bottom part to hold it down, but it's just the weight and pressure of the side flaps that hold it in place so you can knock it over by accident. It doesn't melt or get stuck to anything, and it's easy to clean or fit in most drawers. It can be a little tough to stir things on each side if you use a normal sized turner, but it's ok with smaller spatulas.

Why didn't I think of that?!
I cook some skillet meals. There are some for breakfast for instance. You are to make your meat first (bacon, sausage, etc.) Once the meat is done, the instructions prompt you to put the meat on one side of the skillet and begin scrambling eggs on the other. Until now, they would prematurely get mixed together. It was very frustrating! This is a perfect invention just for such things! It's easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store!

Doesn't work great with liquid items
This doesn't work great to separate things like eggs or anything in a sauce because it doesn't create a perfect seal with the bottom of the pan. It works well to separate larger items, but we were hoping to mainly use it for eggs which was disappointing. If you need to separate larger items like different veggies for picky eaters, this would serve more of a purpose for you!

works great--I just had to have it when I saw it
When I first saw this I was quick to order it. When I make hash browns for breakfast, I always want to make eggs in the same pan but the eggs always end up under the hash browns. I immediately thought this could solve my problem. I couldn't test it out right away when I got it but did toss it in a 10" pan with some water and the water immediately went to the other side through the sides and a bit of buyer's remorse damped the excitement of my new kitchen toy. But I finally got to give it a real test with what had been my intended purpose for the Splitten. I expected to have some leaking because I used a 12" pan and knew it probably wouldn't work perfectly, but the Splitten was still up to the challenge. As I had initially hoped, adding the scrambled eggs to the hot pan helped the Splitten do its job and overall, very little egg sneaked around the edges and most of what did was easily pulled away from the potatoes when the eggs started to set and I removed the Splitten. I am very happy with the results of using the Splitten and can recommend it.

Pan divider
I really like this pan divider. It is so convenient to be able to cook 2 different foods at once without them spilling on to each other. I like to use it when I am cooking breakfast foods, because it keeps the eggs from running over on to my other food. It is also very easy to clean.

Almost Perfect Kitchen Companion
The food-grade flexible silicone material is indeed of high quality. It feels sturdy and durable, yet flexible enough to fit into my 9-11 inch pans with ease. The fact that it's BPA-free gives me peace of mind knowing that I'm not introducing any harmful substances into my food. One of the best features of this product is its versatility. It allows me to cook different foods at the same time, saving me both time and effort. This has been particularly useful when I need to prepare meals for my family who have different dietary preferences.Cleaning up has also been a breeze. The fact that it's dishwasher safe is an added bonus. It doesn't retain any food odours or stains, which is something I've struggled with other silicone-based kitchen tools. However, while the divider works perfectly for most foods, I've noticed that viscous items such as eggs can spill over to the other sections, which can be a bit messy.Overall, it's a great addition to any kitchen and has certainly made cooking more efficient for me. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking and is looking for ways to make the process smoother and easier.

Spicy and Mild in the same pan! How nifty is THAT?
My husband likes things more spicy than I do. I can't UNspice, so he usually ends up having to add spice to his food when it is on the plate. As we know, that isn't ideal as the flavor doesn't have time to develop. And some things, such as red pepper flakes can have a crunchy feel if they aren't cooked. This nifty little gadget helps solve that problem!I can do spicy on one side of the pan and mild on the other. Of course, if it is something saucy, there is going to be some mixing of the sauces. But for most things I cook, this is a perfect solution!
