Ok quality but quite thin

Bought 300 for an event. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. had an incredibly sticky and thin protective blue film around the metal which needed to be picked off by hand. It took the team hours.

Colour was as expected, a pleasant blue. The clip is robust and well made, good value for money. Works a treat.

When I saw these, with availability in a suitable blue colour and a 20 pack, this was an obvious win for me. I already have an ID badge and blue branded lanyard, but it has two problems, firstly, the ‘metal’ used for the clip is weak and several I know of have snapped when the wearer rose from a desk seat, as the badge had caught on the desk/table edge. Secondly, they have a plastic ‘anti-strangle’ clip which is exactly halfway – so it sits on the back of your neck and irritates the skin there.These XHDA lanyards avoid the latter problem, which suits my needs perfectly. The length of neck loop was slightly less than my other lanyards, but not significantly so, the ribbon material measuring 39cm. The ribbon is 9mm wide, quite narrow compared to the 20mm of the old lanyards. The clips look identical to the ones on my other lanyards.As these XHDA lanyards lack the ‘anti-strangle’ safety clip, I did destructively test three. When I pulled on the two halves of ribbon, the ferule came apart. When I pulled on the carabiner loop, the metal broke. When I pulled on the swivel (to avoid the carabiner breaking), the ribbon pulled out of the ferule.While that might save your life from strangulation, it does render the lanyard useless until replaced. There’s also the possibility that before it snaps, you might come into contact with something that could injure you. Whereas lanyards with a clip can simply be re-joined - assuming the weak metal carabiner didn’t break first - which it sometimes did.Personally, I still would not recommend these XHDA lanyards in a public-facing environment, especially for security or door duties, nor if using power tools, especially in a machine shop. However, for my use, they’ll do nicely, thank you.
