I ordered this book to help gain insight into behaviour management for my role as a nursery practitioner, and came out feeling enlightened and confident. A short book with honestly basic points that we all forget. Has a child-centred approach and is actually feasible to install into your daily practice.

Reviews behaviour but gives no clear guidance. Maybe a few suggestions might have been a good idea.Will be looking for further knowledge.

This book is excellent and has provided myself with practical advice and guidance on challenging behaviour and strategies within the early years setting. The book not only reflects the behaviour of the child but also the environment and other key factors. I have read other books surrounding behaviour management and found them very wordy and difficult to relate to. This book is relatable and easy to digest.

Really useful book, it can be read quickly. This is ideal for someone starting out in their early years career but it is also great as a reminder to experienced practitioners. This shares useful insights into children's behaviours, how we view these and our expectations.Simple, but powerful, really worth buying for a nursery and getting all staff to read.
