My seat widens out at the top, so I pushed them down until they went under that wing of the seat. They slide fine with the seat if you need to adjust it.Within one week of installing them, my wallet slid out of my pocket and simply landed on the filler, sat there, and stared at me. There was no reaching under the seat from the front or the back, and twisting my arm and hand around to fit through the wires, all the while fumbling to find it hidden behind the seat track. I simply picked it up and put it back in my pocket. Right then and there, it became the best purchase for the car that I could have ever made. A couple of weeks later, my daughter was in the car and dropped her phone while I was driving, and there was no getting out and trying to find it once I got to my destination. When you look for these products on amazon, there are quite a few choices - including the original aka the original one - and just about twice the price of other choices.Since i am not a shark and more of a guppy, i purchased these. And love them. Great product, great price.its foam flexible rubber kinda thing that holds tight and absolutely has prevented me from dropping anything “down the seat crack” - especially my phone which always seemed to find the crack and fall into it.Why 4 stars instead of 5? my kia sportage is a pretty small car - and i would have hoped these were longer to get to the end of the seat and remove the space between the seat and center council completely - and it falls short of that.Val

I got these for an 09 toyota venza, got tired of how hard it was to get my phone out when it would fall into the pit of doom. This is awesome and saves me from headaches

I bought these to close the gap in my Ford F150 and SUV. It keeps popping up in my truck. I can't get it to fit around the seat belt lock. It is easy to wipe clean and if very sturdy and durable. I matches the color of my seats well. But when it does stay in place it has stopped things from dropping down in the tight places.
