Thanks for the replacement. The previous one had a lid that would not shift to open. The smell is very strong. I recommend 1 to two drops to start , especially if yr using it in a candle burner in the home. I use it to ward off flies entering the living room , whilst the window is open - really important has your not supposed to breath that stuff in. It will play havoc by diffussing into your fish tank or pet drinking bowls. Be mindful use this outside, it's really a garden/camping tool against flies and mosquitos. We used citronella candles whilst camping out in Spain years ago. We'd burn it off before cooking outside. Great product generally, pure and I also have Frankincense oils from the same company which I put in a burner in the toilet under a home made heat saver. Basically, the burner set on a metal placemat and cover it with a terracotta pot allowing a gap underneath to allow air flow. Look up heat saver on the internet. Works well to let the candle last longer in the burner. Heat is slight and small is not too strong if you use just a few drops at a time and keep adding water to your burner. The smell is still there after a few burns. I suggest you give the burner a tooth brush scrub, when it's sticking to the outlet, then start over. A clean burner works better. I bought this citronella for my diffuser mist lamp in the kitchen. It’s 100% pure essential oil and has a lemon scent. The scent is much stronger than any cheap stuff I bought on the other bay selling site. It’s been the best I’ve bought yet and well worth the price. I’ve had my door open every day for 2 weeks and only 1 fly has managed to get past it. The fly didn’t stay around long before it found its way out though. I’ve also had no midges in the house either. I have a 500ml lamp and I put 40 drops in the water which I had to do with the cheaper oil. I could probably reduce the amount with this oil but to be honest it’s working perfectly to keep the bugs out so I’m not changing it now. I put the diffuser on in the morning and it lasts all day. On the back of the citronella box it says it can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. Can also be inhaled with a diffuser and widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts. It is most commonly used as an insecticide. Citronella Java is an antiseptic and antispasmodic too. Also says it’s Vegan and non GMO. The bottle comes in a nice dark blue box so great as a gift. I’m going to buy this again so recommend to others as long as you leave some for me. If my review helped your choice please let me know thanks.

bought to repel insects in late summer. it has a nice strong smell not sure if it reliably repells insects it does seem like there are fewer around though... hard to be totally sure. it does seem to fade quickly and needs topping up daily really for you to notice it is there. so far i've only tried putting it on strips of fabric so going to try a few more things next. i also use tea tree oil which i've used for ages this is very good but i use it in a spray with water. lovely. i think i prob prefer but nice to have a second oil to fragrance the house with and of course without contributing to the nasty world of unethical companies who produce air freshners they test on animals and rip people off with. also think its prob safer. and def smells natural and lovely. all in all we like it! it came super fast so a good company.

This is good quality citronella oil. I use it (weather permitting) by adding a few drops to candles in the garden in the evening, when they have melted a little, in order to keep away any potential biting insects. It is far cheaper than buying citronella candles and I am also able to use up candles that get bought for me as gifts as I do not like to burn candles indoors. It works perfectly for this purpose as you can add as much as and when required and due to being bottled it will not lose it's strength like citronella candles do when stored overtime, so it is also cost efficient. I also use it diluted with deionized water in a spray bottle to deter any sign of ants. I do however use it sparingly and not by flowers where it will deter bees. Bees should always be welcomed. I would recommend this oil for quality, price and delivery.

i have bought a few citronella oils, but this is the most authentic in terms of the closest to the very strong scent Citronella has, this is strong enough for a rodent deterrent and also strong enough to mask smells. I would recommend this brand if you need a very srong Citronella as a pest deterrent. You only need a little in an oil burner, because it is very strong, it is good value for money.

Liked the smell. I put it in my wax melt burner. I've also mixed some with peppermint essential oil and put in spray bottle, as I've heard that's also a deterrent for rodents. Hope it works to keep bugs/rodents at bay. Will update review if not. BUT I only received 89ml in my "100ml" bottle. If I receive less than 100ml in my next (possible) purchase, I won't be buying it again.

Excellent quality pure essential oil of java citronella. Works fantastic as a insect repellent especially in the uk at the moment with all the heat and thunder storms I use it in an oil burner at night in the bedroom and no midges or mosquitoes bites or any flies at all. I also use this with jojoba carrier oil and apply to the skin as a repellent you only need a few drops in the oil burner and also in the carrier oil as this is very is a very strong citronella and you dont want to over power yourself with the smell as its very strong. I use the oil burner downstairs in the day time and it stops any house flies coming in and other flying insects. Never apply an essential oil direct to the skin without a carrier oil as it too strong and may cause a allergic reaction. This is great quality and value for a 100% pure essential oil and the best thing about using the java citronella is that it's the most effective of all the citronella available as its the best and most effective insect repellent.

Dall'estate scorsa ho iniziato ad usare l'olio di citronella nei nebulizzatori al posto delle solite piastrine o liquidi chimici contro le zanzare ottenendo due risultati: niente zanzare e casa profumatissima. Senza pericolosi veleni. Prendo da anni gli olii della Mystic Moments e mi trovo ottimamente. c'era stato un disguido con un ordine e loro hanno risolto presto e bene. Ottima azienda ed ottimi prodotti.

The savings are incredible when you consider the cost of DEET based products, which most people do use. The aroma sticks and does do a fair job of keeping bugs off of me. I did this in my home and found I accidently had one or two flies becoming highly scented. The smell of citrus. Where did this aroma come from, I look and a house fly was 20 centimeters away. I would never do this one thing personally but I smelled the spot where the fly flew off from. Citronella Java. The service was very quick to get the product. Yes if I could get hate email from these flies the twitter would claim I was fake. In the wind the aroma does leave quickly but in confined areas it really lasts.
