Q: Can anyone compare these to the original Cat-Ears, which are very effective but look a bit goofy (and soak up a lot of sweat)?

I had the original Cat-Ears also and agree with all you points about the original model. The fur on this version is shorter and doesn’t absorb as much sweat. Also, they are slightly narrower and aren’t quite as dorky looking. They seem to be just as effective cutting wind noise.
