Diagramming the Scriptures

Simple, Systematic Approach to Grammar
After showing my children several Grammar Rock videos on YouTube, I was looking for a systematic approach to grammar that (1) wouldn't over-complicate (2) could be completed in a short period of time and (3) would give a good foundation of grammatical terms (nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, gerunds, etc.) so that when my 9-year-old son and I start working on Kilgallon's Sentence Composing for Elementary School we'll have vocabulary available to talk about our writing. This book filled the bill. Plus I liked the idea of diagramming sentences from the Bible.Depending on age and maturity, a student could study the book independently or with a partner, but it was better for us to work through the book together. One difficulty some students may have is that the scriptures are from the KJV so some of the language is archaic, but if someone is available to explain unfamiliar words this isn't a problem. As an aside, I'll never forget the big smile on my son's face when he correctly diagrammed a sentence that I had done wrong. All in all, highly recommended.

Best grammar book on the market...
I have read many books on grammar, but I have to say that Diagramming the Scriptures is the best grammar book on the market. Mrs. Forsen presents difficult material in a concise and understandable manner. She reiterates concepts, where necessary, to make sure the student understands the current lesson before moving on to the next. I highly recommend this book to parents who have difficulty helping their children with English and grammar homework, teachers who are looking for a simplified way to explain the difficulties of grammar, Christian schools as part of their curriculum, and Bible readers who are interested in a deeper knowledge of the Scriptures. This book works well for people who are doing an inductive Bible study (which is what I am using it for). Thank you Mrs. Forsen! If I had you as a teacher when I was in school, I would have loved English and grammar. I will use this book in my tutoring ministry. Job well done!

Great help for Studying the Word
I love the large size of the heavy-duty paperback book. The large print is a plus. The way this book is written was helpful for me to recall what I had learned years ago from composition class. I believe in diagramming Scripture will aid me in studying and teaching Scripture. I was thinking about Paul's epistles: sentences as long as a paragraph.

Aids in understanding Scripture
This product is perfect for those who are learning how to diagram. It has helped me with this process as I was not taught this skill in formal schooling. It aids in the understanding of Scripture by helping the reader identify the grammatical elements of Scripture.

I love this book
Let's have a diagram a sentence party! This book does a great job of starting from the beginning, the parts of speech and going into quite complicated sentence diagramming. I still have a lot to learn, but it's simply for fun! I'm 56 years old and bought the book. Yes, just for the fun of it.

This is a great tool for those who believe there can only be one version of the Bible in English; and would like to see how the others stack up when you actually diagram the verses of the other versions together for comparison. The education system has taken this out of schools so that people do not realize that words have meanings and the way they are assembled together in a sentence has an affect on the over all meaning.

Outstanding book
I'm a corporate trainer overseas and need to be sharp on grammar. Sentence diagramming has helped me a great deal. I'm not Christian and am not concerned with that aspect of the book. The info on grammar and diagramming is what I was after, and the book delivered. Lots of examples. I wouldn't say it's the final word on diagramming but it filled in a lot of areas for me. Highly recommended.

Diagramming is essential for good hermeneutics
A great "beginners guide" to sentence diagraming. This is perfect for older home schoolers or even adults who want to begin to learn the value of diagramming the Scriptures. It is helpful to use an interlinear with morphology alongside this resource so that you make sure the English parts of speech in the translation actually conform to the Greek parts of speech in the original.
