Wow. When I first saw ads for weighted blankets, I was skeptical about all this science they were talking about. But I suffer from a very severe and debilitating anxiety that often causes insomnia. Even when I don't have insomnia, I toss and turn so much that I'm often exhausted in the morning. I realized that I often feel more comfortable when I pile on more blankets, and I usually have about 7-8 on my bed. Without them, I often just have this feeling of being untethered, and I just can't rest. I'm also always more comfortable when a pet lies on my legs and I stop tossing and turning. Because of these habits, I thought it couldn't hurt to try out one of these blankets. And, OH MY GOODNESS, it's worth the hype. The minute I slid under this thing, I immediately fell asleep and I slept undisturbed for hours. I felt so rested! The hard part is you feel so good that you don't want to leave the bed. I think the quality of this blanket is top notch, and the size of it fits my full sized bed perfectly. I still don't know or fully understand the science behind it, but I'm really grateful I have this.

While my 9yr old was suspicious of it at first ("Are you trying to squash me mom?"), he went from refusing to try the blanket to asking my husband to "Tuck me in with my heavy blanket because it helps me sleep better" in less than two weeks. He now goes to sleep faster, stays asleep better, and wakes up more refreshed. And, as we no longer get visited by a zombie-child 2-3x/night, I can say that all of the above are true for my husband and I as well.Pros: The blanket is sturdy but soft, heavy by manageable, not too hot, and the best value of all the ones I looked at. I tried it myself for a few nights (before my 9yr old relented and adopted it) and now I rather want one for myself as well.Cons: I haven't measured it but it was definitely smaller than I'd expected. Fine for one person but don't expect to share it.

My 2 year old son uses this blanket and it seems to keep him from tossing and turning during the night. The weight is perfect for him to hinder him from moving but not too heavy to hinder his breathing. The quality of the blanket is excellent and I like the ability to be able to tie down the bottom so my son can't kick it up with his legs. Overall this blanket seems to do the job for my son and I would recommend this to anyone who has a child that is squirmy at bedtime.

Blanket is well made and as advertised. My husband loves it and sleeps so we'll, hardly any tossing and turning.I did however buy it hoping it would help me sleep better because I enjoy having extra quilts and blankets. But so far while I think it's okay, it's not been a cure all. I sleep hot, wake frequently and have had to throw the blanket off of me so I could get some sleep.All of that is just my personal observations.Like I said above, it is well made. It's exactly as advertised, and if I wanted another weighted blanket I would be sure to purchase from Good Night again.

I was a little unsure of how this would help but my HSA account allowed me to get one so I thought I would try it out. I have horrible anxiety issues and spend several nights unable to sleep well. The first two nights with this I slept great. I thought well I will try sleeping without it the next night since I finally got a couple nights of good sleep...by the middle of the night I was dragging it up the bed. I sleep under this every night now. I will warn you, your arms will be sore the first few nights from moving it during the night (you are lifting 15 pounds after all).

I want to buy one of these for every different part of my life like work and the car and traveling. I honestly didn’t think this would do much good, but holy cow I love it!! My anxiety is really high and I come home from work and sit in my chair and pull it on and it feels so wonderful like instant relief. It’s a perfect nap solution. I also have been using it when I sleep and I sleep much better and feel so much more relaxed. I seriously want like three more of these. PLUS you can just throw it in the washer and dryer no worries.

I rarely leave reviews, but feel compelled to share the news on this purchase.For quite a while. I was thinking about purchasing one of these for my 11 year old daughter who has ADHD and struggles with falling sleep, but didn’t want to waste money. This blanket is worth EVERY PENNY.My daughter immediately loved it, said it feels like the blanket is hugging her and makes her legs feel tired. In the three nights she has used it, she has fallen asleep with no problems. Dare I say this thing is magical? It seems that way. She is obsessed with it and I am so excited I bought this before school starts so she is rested and ready to start middle school. Yay! And I want one, too!

It definitely had a strange smell straight out of the bag but nothing too terrible. I’m still not sure how to properly clean this... some reviews said not to place in the washing machine because it could destroy the blanket AND damage your machine, so I’m a little concerned about that.I do like the weight of the blanket and it’s very good quality material. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to clean the blanket as to not destroy it or damage my washing machine.
