thick enough and you'd think they'd last long BUT discoloration has set it of the design (see pic attached). i noticed slight fading in the other coasters are well but this smudge and fade is the most prominent. bought it cheap so can't really complain and yes, the thickness and quality of the wood used seems optimal.
