In my opinion it is too expensive for what it is. Someone I showed these to thought they do a "cute" job of highlighting. But the colors are too light and you have to draw over the word several times to see the color. The Dong-A Jet stick pack does a much better job and is more affordable, the colors are also brighter. The marker highlighter version of this Monami pastel set is very nice though and worth buying.

I like these much more than the Sharpie version. They do not leave as much ink on my hand if I accidentally rub the fresh highlight. They are a little bit crumbly, so I have to remember not to press them down too hard. The colors are great and perfect for my textbooks!

These are great for highlighting, they do not bleed through. They are very light and don’t leave a sticky residue like some others I have used. Great for school books and bibles.

I normally wouldn't bother myself to write reviews for products but this one definitely deserves one. Out of the 12 highlighters 4 were defective. they were either broken (literally cut in half down the shaft) or eroded due to weather or humidity. The chemical integrity of the highlighters itself (clay or whatever its made from) were altered either from temperature or humidity (I'm not sure what) and it was evidently manifested by the tip of the highlighter chipping off as it made contact with the paper. Absolutely poor and unacceptable.
