The containers are very small but a little goes a long way. This is 1.5 containers on a 5 layer 9 inch round layer cake. I purposely have space between the flakes but 2 containers would have been enough if I were more detailed in how I put these on. These basically taste like paper. Most of my guests didn’t eat them. They don’t dissolve in your mouth. They chew and taste like a piece of paper in your mouth so after a few bites, you get smart and scrape them away. However, for decorative purposes, these are amazing and I would 100% use them again. They are so cool looking on your cake.

Very pretty! Taste was similar to those UFO looking candies made with the edible Styrofoam, really didn’t have any flavor and melted as your saliva soaked into it.. I needed 1 jar plus a tiny bit from a second jar to do what u see in the picture!

I bought this product to top my cupcakes for our daughters wedding. The rose gold color is pretty, and the flakes were a nice and varied size... however they taste like MINT, not like sugar, or chocolate... but MINT... yuck... Thankfully, I tasted a few before I put them on our cupcakes!!! The texture is odd, too.... they remind me of the listerine breath strips, very odd, and not at all what I expected these to be; and my daughter said they felt like dry leather in her mouth. Perhaps ours was old, or got air to them during shipping, as there was powder in the outside packaging; I'm not sure, all I know is that our experience is very different than most of these reviews!!! SO, TASTE THEM BEFORE YOU USE THEM!!!

Based on other reviews, I wasn’t sure... but I LOVE THEM. Perfect upscale, modern touch to my baked goods for special events to add touches here and there. They are shimmery, like gilded but not metallic looking. Tasteless, and for looks, not flavor.

These rose gold flakes were really beautiful. I read the reviews before I purchased them and was worried about the chemical smell/taste that others had talked about, but I wasn’t planning on COATING anything with them, so they were perfect. They smell a little and basically taste like cardboard, and I could see that being an issue if you were wanting to coat a cake. But for sprinkling purposes, the taste and smell were virtually unnoticeable. I made 100 cupcakes and a 6” layer cake and I ordered two containers of the flakes bc I wasn’t sure on the coverage. I used maybe 3/4 of one container, and I did crush them up a little bc there were some very large flakes, and I didn’t want any too big. The bride & groom were very impressed!

This was very much copper even though container said rose gold. We used it. It worked fine. No taste which was great. But the texture wasn’t great. Kind of chewy I would recommend another color but not this if you’re looking for rose gold. It was very copper in color.

Completely edible, ideal for cake decoration and all kinds of pastries. It adds an elegant and refined touch to any dessert. Perfect for chocolate-covered strawberries or cupcakes.
