Magicshine EVO 1700 Underneath Mounted Bike Lights for Night Riding,USB-C Rechargeable Bike Headlight, IPX 6 Waterproof Bike Front Light for Road Urban Cyclists

This light is extremely bright but has a proper beam pattern so not to dazzle oncoming drivers / other road users. It can go "full beam" as well as "dipped". Normal use of this would be in the "dipped" position. This is not merely tipping the whole light downwards, but the light cuts off the top of the light beam. This is also very good as a hand torch though it will feel warm to the touch at full brightness. My one came with bike mount and small remote to change brightness and press "full beam / dipped" light pattern. The supplied bracket mounts the light under your handlebars so not to clutter the top of it. Charging via USB-C is very convenient too.

Light is fantastic! Shocking bright and even dispersion of light. Housing and bracket is sturdy. Easy to remove for charging also. If you can find a way to secure the remote better to the handle bar or grip (maybe 2 cable ties bypassing each other underneath would hold this in place with minimal movement). App is out-of-date and not compatible for newer android version users so don't be looking forward to getting use out of that. BUT on its own with the remote, with the brightness it emits, battery life, and overall functionality, this is a great option.

Six brightness settings. Three for low cut off and three for high beam. I generally only need to use low/low and it's very visible. Under garmin mount is handy although I have to make a choice between this light and video recording. Got this on a deal for 67.99. Happy I did. Haven't used the app as some have said not user friendly and asks for strange permissions. Remote gives you flash functionality. The flash uses high beam so I am wary of using in urban and suburban settings. That said it's very good for winter rides. Just finished a 70km ride and light still has battery left for longer ride.

The light is excellent, lighting up dark roads without angry oncoming drivers BUT it hangs off a flimsy looking little bit of plastic.After 6 weeks of use, cycling on roads and without any accidents etc, the light fell off as I was commuting home today. Exactly the same issue as other users.Now I’m left with a £90 light that I can’t attach to my bike, and Amazon’s return policies seem to wash their hands off responsibility for defective products after 30 days.The light itself is fantastic but totally worthless unless they make a metal / more robust mounting system for it.

The light itself it's great. Very bright and it's perfect for a night off-road rides. The issue is the remote control... it's only 8 days ago I collected the item and today it's my 5th battery.... once this one will die I'll need to fit my light next to the handlebar for easy on/off. The funny thing is that I used this light only once during the darkness so only used remote for around 1hr. Since 1rs battery dies I've install new one and been checking once a day but after couple of hours remote has been dead. It's not an issue for me but like I said ill need to fit the light higher so I can reach it. For this one I'll leave 3 stars as it's meant to be full working set operating with your fingers. So changing light mode from medium to full brightness failed now. If you buying this bike light just as a light it's 100% yes for me but remote it's useless.

Quality looks and feel and looks good and does the job perfectly. lots of light ahead when riding and the remote is invaluable

Excellent beam shaping, high/low beams, great easy for the eye colour of beam, tidy unit, great mounting. This feels well thought through. Great beam shape works really well on the road once initial angle is dialled in. Can happily cycle at speed with dip, then brilliant vi's on high beam. Colour of beam is great, yellowish, so its easy on the eye, no fatigue from it. Battery long enough for dark rides and for me, several commutes. Button on the hoods. One button dip/main. Not fussed about the app. Next version, more lumens, more runtime, but the beam shape is awesome and puts the lumens where you need them. Awesome light.

Great light, remote never worked straight out the box…!?! Have to use my phone or the power switch all the time to operate. Apart from that very powerful light, it’s just a shame you have to go through the inconvenience of handling it mid ride all the damned time, just to dim or change the light settings, and you realy have to with this or your blinding people or just lighting up the whole place like day light, so it realy needs to be controlled remotely for ease of use, CANT!!!

The media could not be loaded. I've been an endurance cyclist for twenty five years and in that time I have owned a lot of bicycle lights. They just keep getting better and better. This is no exception.It wasn't long ago that a light like this would have cost $300 and I would have paid it. To get this for less than $70 is fantastic. It has a shaped beam so it makes best use of every photon. I won't buy round beamed lights anymore. Take a look at the video I attached and you can see that the beam is shaped so the entire road appears evenly illuminated without extra photons blasting the eyes of oncoming traffic. Remember, even though photons have no mass, the battery does. So every photon that shines up into the treetops came from a battery that you have to carry around. Shaped beams are great.The upside down mounting position is unusual and takes some getting used to. If, like me, you already have head units, aerobars, and stuff on your handlebars, you will appreciate this. However it would be even better if you could choose which way up you mount it, like my Towild CL1200.The high-beam/low-beam feature is great, but it only works well because of the remote. It's easy to mount the remote on your handlebars and flip from high to low, between modes, and into flashing mode. If there aren't enough modes for you, use the app to create your own custom modes.The mount that comes with the light is a combination GoPro/Wahoo/Garmin mount that fits onto 31.8mm or narrower handlebars. Some people have said it's flimsy because it is plastic, but I think it is well sturdy enough for the job. Having said that, I have 22mm handlebars so I had to buy a different mount from Amazon.Please watch the video. I hope you can see why I like this light so much.

The media could not be loaded. This is my third Magicshine light. They are great and very bright. A lot of features on this model. I’ve bought them from Ali and here. My uncle was holding this one brand new right out of the package. He dropped it and the mount tab broke. On all my cycling forums and video reviews they talk about this mount being brittle. I’ve had one light for almost two year and this was the first one that broke. Lucky SJ3D Design makes replacement mounts, saved me!!!! They make multiple colors. Battery life is good on light and the high beam feature is great.

The media could not be loaded. 気に入った事明るさ:ロービームでも光に手を当てるだけで温かく強い光を放射してるのが分かりました。ハイビームも遠くを照らしてくれてバイクと変わらないでしょう。ロック機能:ロックの機能があるので自転車から離れる時は外してカバンに入れています。その時にロックしておき誤作動を防げるので良いなと思いました。アタッチメントの数:ライトとリモコンだけに限らずレックマウントのおかげで別売りですがサイコンが取り付けれるのでスッキリさせることが出来るなと思いました。気に入らなかった事ハイビーム:ハイビームの時にもラインが出ているので気になります。パッシング:異変を知らせる為に車のようにパッシングをしたい時があるのですが。こちらのライトにその様な機能はありません。総合的にまとめると買って損はしません。最高なライトに出会えました。

Super bright, I would say that 800lm on the low beam is more than enough for all conditions, 400lm is pretty good and I would recommend 600lm if you want to have a similar experience to 800lm while saving some battery life.2. The cutoff is awesome, you can just use it on the low beam setting and switch to the high beam on some dark intersections and stuff like that to alert other people, it would be useful to read a sign or stuff like that on really dark conditions, otherwise you can ride without blinding people using the low beam.3. The beam pattern is great, super wide to the floor with very sharp lines, really long which gives you plenty of time to react.4. I am not a really big fan of really bright flashing lights so I wouldn’t use this one as a flashing light, you will just blind everybody with this light, having said that the flashing mode is great to alert other people that you are there on certain conditions, the difference between the low beam and high beam distance is considerable so when you turn on the flashing mode the floor below a pedestrian or another cyclist will start to flash which they will instantly notice a few meters before you arrive, just make sure you turn it off after you overtake them to not annoy other people, use it sparingly.5. I love the remote, it makes switching between modes super easy and the high beam wouldn’t be usable without it.6. The mounting system, super practical and it puts the light on the perfect position, it’s perfect if you use a computer already.I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons:1. The battery life is a bit misleading, the light will “last” 3hs when you set it to 800lm on the low beam but after 2hs the light will go down to about 200lm all of the sudden and you can’t change it until you charge it.2. As some people mentioned the remote won’t work sometimes, the issue is not the remote but the light, for whatever reason sometimes the Bluetooth on the light will stop working and you can’t control it using the remote or the phone app, the only way to fix it is to plug the usb cable and it will start working again, pretty weird, it happens very very rarely but I would turn it on to test it before you go out just in case.I can see how the plastic support that the light is attached to would break if you over tighten it, it looks stiff and like most things that are stiff they are also brittle if you compress them, I haven’t had an issue with it so far but after seeing the other reviews I made sure to not over tighten it, you don’t need to over tighten it to get it into the perfect position.
