Q: Honestly why are you still using micro USB in 2022?

Honestly, the C connector is the same price as a micro usb at the scale that Skullcandy is purchasing them... there is effectively no difference in overall cost except for a minor change in the injection mold dies for the exterior case... which could be done when they replace the existing dies... and dies are a wear-item. by this time in 2023, the dies they used in 2022 are likely replaced at least once since the 2022 post... The most likely answer is that Skullcandy doesn't want to do the couple thousand dollars of engineering work to modify the existing models for the convenience of users. These are not expensive in the scheme of earbuds, and work well for the cost. I doubt most people will avoid them because of a micro usb connector
