Very nice and easy to install- beautiful cooktop
This cooktop is very attractive and after making sure the gas connections were secure we had it installed! So far (1week) the cooking is great- flames are even and it is easy to clean- it is not very heavy to install since the grates are taken off for this part of the installation- if a person is not comfortable adjusting the flame intensity and connecting gas lines a purchased installer is recommended- this cooktop replaces a 25 year old cooktop so I’m so excited on the look and cooking of this cooktop - it is beautiful

Cooktop for a small kitchen with all the functions.
Smart looking low profile cooktop. Fit into my small apt kitchen. Love the five burners and grill plate.

Awesome cooktop
Excellent quality for the price. We shopped at Home Depot and Lowe’s for cooktops which were double the price. We like the design and look of the cooktop. It is a major upgrade from our old 4 burner unit. It shipped quickly and was very easy to install. It works perfectly. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Higher quality and function than expected for the price! Love it!
I have used this cooktop for 2 years now in a marine environment and absolutely love it! I've been a huge fan of gas cooktops since I learned to cook at a restaurant in my youth, but my access to them at home has been limited. I added propane to my boat for this cooktop so that I could have an option for cooking besides electric. The size of the cooktop was accurately documented, and it was a drop-in install, including all parts needed other than the supply hose from the tank(s). I have the stainless finish - I don't think the black was available then - but I have had no issues with corrosion and prefer the clean, shiny look. It's easy to clean, though the removable grates are large and may not fit in smaller sinks. The design and materials are above average in their durability, fit/finish, etc. In the restaurant, we could keep some creations warm simply by sitting them over a pilot light. Pilot lights in US domestic installs are rare, and it's nearly impossible to set the heat from a modern gas burner to pilot-light low. My one could-be-better observation for this cooktop is that the burner control knobs don't vary enough from the LITE/HI to LO settings. However, low-enough heat settings can be achieved by reducing from the LITE/HI setting to nearly OFF. I highly recommend this supplier and this product.

Sturdy
Don't know why some customers said it was cheap looking, or you get what you pay for. We replaced a Jenn Air cooktop that cost 4x more than this one, and are extremely happy with the look and functions. The JA grates melted on a flare up! The grates on the Gasland are twice as heavy, at least. Using propane, it's a little more involved on the install but worth every penny.

Piece of crap!
The media could not be loaded. This cooktop is a total piece of crap. I purchased it a year ago because I liked the style. However, I've had nothing but problems with it.1. The black finish on the cooktop is dulling, now not cleanable2. One of the burners does not light immediately (it takes 3 tries for it to light)3. Sometimes, even on low, the flame expands beyond the pan and becomes a fire hazard.4. The labels have chipped/peeled off on a couple dial markers.I attempted to file a warranty claim and it was denied due to the above issues being considered "normal wear and tear".

Good for now… quality is okay
I had a glass gas stovetop (GE Profile) which was leaking small amounts of gas from the knobs and burners. I needed a relatively cheap stovetop to replace with until I do a full renovation in a few years.First of all the quality:The burners themselves are great and feel good quality… but when you’re cooking something heavy in a large stock pot you want to know the cooktop is durable and won’t flex. Unfortunately, this is made of very thin metal and has some give to it… which makes me very not-confident I can ever trust a large pot sitting all day. That said, the knobs and grates feel okay. Not as durable as my old one, but okay.Installation:They include a regulator which obviously requires an additional coupling. Why not include the fitting most people will need?? My original stovetop had a flex supply line going directly to the stovetop, so of course I needed to go get a $10 fitting and some YELLOW teflon tape. And that’s another issue..they picture white teflon tape which is for water, not gas. Use yellow only. But again, they easily could’ve supplied a small roll of it with the fitting to avoid any mishap (and a store run). They also reference counter clamps that are included in the box (#10 on the item list on page 2) but they were not included. I was not going to wait to have this sent to me so I installed without them, as my old stove didn’t have any either. The weight of the item itself once the grates are on make it feel like it won’t slide around.Lastly a couple of other points:- I got the 30” one, which fits a 30” opening left to right, but is a little shorter front to back… so it JUST barely cover the front and back opening of the cutout.- Heat level feels good, they burn consistently and evenly it seems. I do hear an audible click or clunk sound a few seconds after turning any burner off which is a bit odd, but I’m hoping that’s normal. My old one didn’t do that.- Considering this is the cheapest option I could find to get me by for now, I’m not disappointed, I expected the quality to be somewhat flimsy but for $500 it should’ve at least included the items I mentioned above.- The threads for the stovetop itself to connect the gas line are plastic… I find this discouraging that a gas appliance would rely on plastic fittings, but I did use teflon tape and did a soap test and it is fine, no leaks (yet). It just doesn’t scream “I’m safe to use” when you see you’re screwing solid metal to plastic.

Looks great and works even better
Installation was a breeze. After a few days, noticed the propane jets and swapped them out, since I am using propane. Eliminated the popping and made the flame much more controllable. Very happy with the purchase.
