Great storage box.
Well designed and once built sturdy.. after a months use... its waterproof and holds a cushions for a 5 seater corner patio set... its a little tricky to put together.. read the instructions and made sure you've the piece the right way.. I had to take down and rebuild twice as I had the lid the wrong way.. having written. That it was easy to put together and really well made.. worth the investment if you want to store cushions etc.. it has a solid base and so far no slugs have managed to get in.. we'll worth the money

Super solid with huge storage capacity.
Solid, well made and easy to assemble. I've bought two of these and I have them in my garden to store almost anything. Super spacious and keep dry inside. They are great value compared to other wooden storage boxes and they just need a wipe rather than staining.

I see potential for 5 stars
The parcel was heavy and the package carboard box came broken at the bottom as the delivery man dragged it across the ground. I was afraid that items came out of the box and there are missing parts from package because of that but wasn't the case. They delivered all items even the package box was open. Mounting this box is a job for professionals. Basically to be able to mount this item you need an impact drill and to know how to use it else you are exposed to accidents or/and property damage. I worked a decade as designer engineer and I know what I am saying. If you don't have this tool or you don't know how to use it you will have troubles putting this item together. Mounting process is noisy, so prepare your neighbours for about 2 hours of loud noise coming from the place where you have intention to do the job. They delivered my item at the front door and the garden is at a lower level so was necessary to unpack and move every part down trough a 12 steps stair. Moving entire parcel as arrived was not practical because was too heavy. You need to study the manual and a Youtube clip (there are several clips, for me was "Lifetime 116-Gallon Outdoor Storage Deck Box Lifetime Assembly Video" - for other sizes are other clips) together to be able to do the job. The process is difficult and time consuming, for me was about 2 hours (add half of hour of rest on top of these 2 hours - is absolute necessary). The most of this time was for transport of the parts down stairs, study the manual and watch the Youtube clip. The work itself was about half an hour of intense physical activity. During this half an hour of activity I observed that there are many design errors of this item. The most serious error is that the some screws are cutting in plastic if they are only slightly over torqued (you can see these screws after 6 minutes and 50 seconds from beginning of Youtube clip mentioned above). It's so simple to put an aluminium metal protection to avoid metal screws cutting in plastic! You don't need two persons to mount the lid, a wall or, if you are in the garden, a tree to support the lid while you are mounting it can easily replace the second person. At the end, when was necessary to put the lid on top of the box it looked like they are not fitting. I thought I did something wrong and is necessary to undo and rebuild something. Doing this would be very difficult and would practically damage the item. Studying again and again the manual and the Youtube clip I realized that I only didn't understand very well how to fit the lid on top of the box (the part where Youtube clip say that two persons are necessary to do the job). After finishing the job I obtained a good looking and sturdy storage box. Because they didn't recommend to their customers a professional person for doing the mounting job of the item as they should and didn't give enough instructions for a safe delivery and because of the design errors I would give to producers 3 stars for this item. The Youtube clip is making this job to look way easier than it is in reality. For example the guy in the clip is sliding the lid support slow and easy (you can see this after 4 minutes and 15 seconds from beginning of Youtube clip mentioned above). I used a hammer to do the same "easy" slide. In my opinion they should provide an optional mounting service of the item. I give them 4 stars instead because of their intention to deliver a product above mediocre. I think they deserve to be encouraged because of this. The high difficulty of mounting this item has the good part that if is successfully finished the result is amazing. Indeed, if you can forget their errors you will be able to look at a good quality product hoping that will last "lifetime" as the name of it is. There is hope that these errors will be avoided in the future and next time you will buy a much better item. I see potential for this to happen.

Great Product
Firstly I should say this is the second identical large storage box purchased. The quality is extremely good and there is no comparison to the other very common manufacturer available in the UK/Europe. This is American made and sturdy. It can be used as a bench seat (assuming you are not like some of our larger American friends that is ) I am 15+ stone and it supports me easily. Some reviews mention that they needed to drill out the metal components as the bolts/screws were too tight. If they read the instructions it clearly states the holes are slightly undersized to ensure a firm fixture. Secondly, there are reviews that also state that it had arrived broken with damaged corners. This of course might be a genuine case. However, as it is very well packaged in the first place and the plastic is not brittle my suspicions are that, as the assembly can be tight with the various tabs that slot together, people have attempted to 'ease' the assembly with a ball pein metal hammer perhaps and damaged the new storage box (just a theory) and then blamed the delivery driver or packaging. Use a heavy rubber mallet and a block of wood. There is no doubt that the assembly is not the easiest to do - but not exactly difficult if you have the skills , a few DIY type tools including a battery drill/driver, spanners or better still a small socket set and have read the manual (RTFM, as we say) Perhaps the manufacturer or distributor should state that a knowledge of DIY along with a few tools is required. (It certainly does not assemble with nothing more than an Allen key and no assembly tools are supplied) If you are a Gary or a Gladys and the extent of making something doesn't extend beyond a Victoria sponge then you may struggle. It doesn't make it a bad product though. To recap: It is a very sturdy, dry, large and well made patio storage box. I have bought two of the larger ones and would consider buying another as I can tell they are going to last for years.

Tools are required including drill
You will need tools for this, drill, 2 x spanners, mallet & i needed pliers too. Quite fiddly for the lid, but good sturdy item, hopefully it will keep the slugs out over winter. This holds outdoor sofa cushion, 6 x back cushions and 4 x seat cushions all very thickly padded. Lid strong enough to sit on!! Recommended.

An excellent product!
This took me just over one and a half hours to build on my own, and I'm no expert. It was easier than I expected, especially after given the instructions a brief read through. Lining up the front, back, and sides required a little jiggering about, but just a little patience and double checking of the slots was all that was needed. A few of the holes required pre-drilling, but that was about it. It's a sturdy, rugged box, with plenty of room for cushions etc. I won't know how waterproof its going to be, but I've wrapped the cushions in large plastic bags and I'll see how it goes. All in all, I highly recommend this storage box, and would like to thank the company for making it such an easy item to construct. Almost a year on and I can confirm that despite one of the wettest the box remained completely waterproof.

Very good size and seems pretty robust, assembly 1.5-2hrs on own
Bought this to store all our garden cushions in and the size is decent (pic with can for reference). You will need tools to assemble it and it took just under 2hrs, the instructions are pretty straightforward however the images aren't great in place due to the pattern of the tub being included, the nuts are also very tight fitting and required some force to tighten. The catch fitting image was also shown the wrong way round. Purchased while on offer so price reasonable. Have to see what its like after a few months outside.
