I love this thing. It gets me handsfree CarPlay in my 2015 Lexus LX. The front camera is a major bonus as well, especially in traffic. I’ve had it for about 6 months and it’s performing well. While there are some issues switching back from a call to Spotify, it does a good job everywhere else.

Decent CarPlay screen, comes with a few different ways to mount it. Backup camera comes with a long enough cable to mount almost anywhere you want. Voice controls work really well and everything seems responsive and fast. The screen is high resolution and easy to read, same as the cameras. The only issue is with the brightness, and how reflective the screen is. It can be hard to see the screen and very bright evenings. Otherwise so far it’s been a great addition to our older car without CarPlay and a backup cam

If you wanted Apple CarPlay or android auto for your car, this is it. I got quotes from shops to get a unit like this but installed into my dashboard as a new stereo for around $600 and this is so much cheaper and does the same thing the shops were advertising and more, like the auto dimming display. And the added plus of not tearing up my dashboard.Major positives:It’s slim so it doesn’t block my view of the road and doesn’t stand out compared to the rest of my car.The set up process was easy and only took 7 minutes, the longest part of the setup process was figuring out how to snake the cord in a way to make it out of the way. The cord is long and can easily reach the charger in my car, I used cord organizers to help keep the cord neat and tight to reduce it jiggling around.The display itself is bright so easy to see in the day and it dims automatically when it gets dark as to not blind you.The startup process is quick, starts when the ignition is turned on and only takes maybe 10 seconds to automate activate Apple CarPlay. The device also turns off when the ignition is off so there’s no risk of it draining your car battery if it’s left plugged in.Downsides:The dash-cam isn’t useful to me but it’s not the fault of the device. If you actually want to use the dash-cam to its fullest potential you’ll need to put the entire device up high so the camera can see the road ahead. When it’s sitting on your dashboard like how I have mine, its view is pretty limited. Along with the camera field of view, it can’t see very far to the left or right.The screen when ant its darkest setting is just a little too bright, but it’s not terrible enough to irritate my eyes personally, but if you have a stigmatism or are hypersensitive to light, it may be slight to mildly irritating.All in all 10/10 and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs Apple CarPlay/android auto, even cars who don’t have Bluetooth, the aux cord option solves that issue immediately. Get off the fence and buy it! You’ll love it.

I am disappointed. I bought the equipment and installed it. It looks good, the display is beautiful. I bought this because I need the android auto. The media could not be loaded. I bought this so I could add CarPlay to Ram 1500 2017. When I got it, I plugged it into the truck to make sure it worked. I paired it to my phone, which was incredibly easy. When I knew it worked, I took some of the dash of the truck apart, put a hole in the bottom of the storage compartment near the 12 V socket so I could run the wires up Behind the screen of the truck out of the top and from there, I made a small plastic flat surface to be able to mount the Carpuride on. I can’t stand wires loosely, hanging all over the place and getting in the way, that’s why I chose to route the wires beneath the console and up behind the radio. When it was all done, the Carpuride was mounted nicely with the mount that was included in the box. From the driver seat and the passenger seat the screen looks like it was meant to be there. It up immediately when the truck is started and the phone pairs With the truck in under 15 seconds. If you have been playing music when you last turned your vehicle off, it will start playing that music when you get back in. I am extremely satisfied with this unit. It’s very responsive. And as a bonus, it has a button on the top to turn the screen off if you don’t wanna look at it at night. Also, it has screen dimming so if you wanna leave it on all the time, it will dim down to one percent brightness or up to 100% brightness, depending on the situation. Carpuride customer service is excellent. I emailed them about making a custom boot screen so that it would say ram 1500. When I started the car they immediately sent me back the instructions on how to do this. I will post a follow up video of what it looks like when it’s all done. One other thing, it also has a built-in dash cam if that’s something you’re interested in. I have absolutely no interest in using a dash cam but it automatically starts recording the minute it boots up so it’s there if you need it. Highly recommended
