Don't buy it!
This has to be the most self indulgent book I have read. There is zero content of relevance or interest and certainly not insightful in anyway whatsoever. I'm really sorry to write this negative review but I feel completely mislead, miss sold and ripped off!

Must Read!
Magnificently conceived & brilliantly executed! A must read for everyone. Critical psychological insights into what makes us what we are.

Highly accessible for majority of readers
I've read all of Montell's books--while I believe she is most known for Cultish, I've enjoyed Wordslut the most, with this new project coming in a close second. With that said, all three works are great, including The Age of Magical Overthinking. If you're like me (curious queer femme millennial,) you'll find this book positively offensive and enlightening. Montell is great at making her work accessible to anyone regardless of educational backgrounds; at points I felt slightly under-stimulated, but I speculate this book is not written for professional philosophers, linguists, sociologists, etc., rather the general public. I have already recommended this book to a handful of friends.
