Works great for converting a manual shade to motorized shade. I used the other reviewer's parts list (thanks!) but I opted for a stronger power supply (5A/60w). It's plenty strong and reliable so far. If using it outdoor, I would probably fabricate a housing to protect it from moisture. I like how it holds the position when the motor stops so you can stop the shade halfway.

Quality motor that can switch polarity and rotation direction.

Smooth and strong motor. More torque than I need for steering a trolling motor, but just the right speed (44 rpm). I added a hall potentiometer, 3D printed gears, microcontroller, and H bridge driver making it the perfect steering servo for my boat.

Used it for a motorized waterfowl decoy. It has a LOT of torque for its size. It is much smaller than I anticipated, but is good quality and simple to wire up. Very little noise under load as well.

Strong little motor

Very low torque, stripped the gears on the first use, extremely loud for the short time it worked. Junk.

Great mini motor has plenty of torque for what I needed it for and the self-locking in place works very well.

First one I bought didn’t last a year so I ordered an another one just didn’t realize I order from the same vender. The second one has been on for a couple months and hasn’t started acting up, yet! I don’t have a lot of faith in these starters. But who knows maybe I just got a bad apple with the first one. I’ll hold off on writing the review on the second one to see how it works out. I give it three stars because customer service was great!
