I really thought this tool would just assist with identifying a bad bulb in a string, but it's much better than that. Using the "fix shunt" feature you just pull out one bulb, plug the tool into the socket, pull the trigger a few times and the set (or section of it) lights up! At that point you can start replacing bad bulbs. If there are many bad bulbs it might be best to just replace the set.Only flaw I've seen so far: The opening for the plug that you connect for the above fix is not a good size for net lights. It's a bit of a struggle to make it fit. I might cut it a bit with a Dremel tool

This tool saved me from buying a new Christmas tree. It took a while to go through the lights to find those that needed to be replaced, but I’m so glad. Hopefully this tree will last another 5 years.

I bought this in hope of salvaging the incandescent light strings on my pre-decorated tree. I could never get it to work properly. Possibly this could be due to my inexperience with the device. Don't know.

I didn’t expect this to actually work as well as it did. My tree had a large patch of lights that were dark. Replacing bulbs didn’t work. I used the quick-fix feature of this tool on only 2 bulb sockets and…it works! In literally less than 5 minutes, my tree was saved!

Try to trouble over hours unable to find it!
