Does it eventually rust after long-term dishwasher washing?

I don't have a dishwasher but there's not a bit of rust on mine. Its an excellent spatula and I'm probably gonna get another one. I use mine several times a week. Its very strong.

Is this a cut and serve spatula?

when I think "cut & serve" I think serrated edge. this is not that. the blade is rigid and front end sharp enough to cut some foods. I got it to use with my iron skillet where it excels

Does the metal run all the way throughout the handle? I know it has no rivets visible.

Hi GrannyRose. The one I received has a wooden handle . The metal blade only goes about 1/3 of the way through and is riveted with 2 brass rivets. All in all, it seems to be very sturdy and does a good job. If the one you get has a plastic handle?... I have no idea. God bless. Have a Great New Year! Tony
