It keeps time... but
After seeing these, hearing them and secretly desiring one, I made a purchase. I was looking forward to getting to know the sounds of 12 individual birds that I might hear as I'm out and about. However, they aren't UK Birds, and at best they sound like a strangled one at that.BUT - does the clock keep time? Perfectly.Novelty factor - definite. However, being a light sleeper, the chirps on the hour, every hour - including the night - get a bit tiresome. Now I've removed the batteries from the bird sound section.

Cheap Quality Mechanism
Updated June/2020:Cheap quality Mechanism. Bird Song Clock. Seemed to work ok and kept good Time for the past 6 months of ownership apart from the main Clock battery needing replacing every 3 months before finally giving up the ghost and stopping turning the Hands past the Hour. despite it having a New and tested battery inserted.? and it is now no longer possible to return the clock to the Seller for a replacement or refund.I previously owned a similar RSPB/Zeon Tech version that featured British and European Birds and a Light-Sensor to switch-off the Bird Songs at night that lasted for nearly 20 years. and so I decided to replace it with this Clock that features a mixture of British. European and Asian birds with the appropriate names written underneath each of the birds in Latin. although the Cuckoo featured is that of a Mechanical-Clock and not that of a real Bird
