The 63" by 17" wide ramp feels sturdy and is a nice width for both my 55 lb labrador and cattle dog. My lab is 13 yrs old and needs some help getting in the truck. Cattle dog is young but can use it too. Taught them both how to go up and down in 15 minutes with high value treats and a little patience. We started by doing a few trial runs in the living room onto the sofa before going out to the truck. Folds and unfolds easily. Not sure if I'd trust the 250lb weight limit though. The carpet material is nice to avoid slipping and helps wipe off the mud. Works well from ground to running board or floorboard of my F250, but too steep if trying to go from ground to top of seat.

This is a good, solid ramp for all sizes of dogs. It’s wider than most and our dogs are much more comfortable using it. It’s also longer so that it doesn’t need to be such a steep incline- the dogs are more willing to use it because they can see where they’re going. It has a stabilizing strap with a carabiner that snaps onto the door latch on the back of the vehicle. That, combined with the sturdy feet at the bottom keep the ramp from sliding or moving. It is also very easy to fold up and stow in the car. We sprayed the folding hinges with WD-40 to loosen them up and it worked well- easy to fold without pinched fingers.

This ramp is impressively stable, lightweight, and incredibly easy to set up. For reference, I'm 5'0" and 110 lbs, and I had no trouble handling it on my own. I chose the 63" version instead of the longer one. I bought it for my 12-year-old Pit Bull, who can no longer manage stairs and is too heavy for me to lift. While the ramp works well overall, the angle is a very steep for my dog when used with my small SUV. I needed to hold her and sort of help her up the ramp. Using the ramp I stand good chance I can get her into the car alone, no hopes of that if I tries lifting her. If I had a younger dog, I am sure this would work perfectly and I would recommend this ramp.

This dog car ramp is outstanding in both quality and design! The aluminum frame feels incredibly sturdy yet lightweight, and it easily supports my large dog without wobbling. We use this for our 85 lb dog on our truck bed. This holds up great. Easy fold for storage when we’re not using it or storing in the bed quick. It looks nice and I would purchase again for the price, durability, and functionality. bonus points for the strap when it’s closed so it doesn’t just fling open. It is a little narrow, but I’ve got a giant dog and he does fine. He just walks up the platform.

This ramp is well constructed and looks good. The hinges open and close smoothly. The problem happens when my dog gets on the ramp. The mid-hinge allows the ramp to bend downward quite a bit. The dog gets nervous about this. I walked up it and I got nervous as it sagged. It felt like it might keep going but it never did. A very serious problem is when my dog ( 85 lb. Lab ) jumps from the seat of my truck to the ramp. The ramp tilts if she does not hit it exactly at the center. She almost lost her balance and fell off. By putting jack stands under both sides at the middle hinge, the ramp did not sag or tilt. Now I have to carry special jack stands in the truck. The ramp is 17 1/2 inches wide, however, the metal rails on each side are 1 3/4 inches and there is a bead of smooth clothe on each side 1/2 inch wide. The actual carpeted width is 13 inches. This is too narrow for a large dog. I am going to attach some outdoor carpet to the metal rails, because these are smooth and slippery. If you have a large dog, it would be better to get a wider ramp. The photo shows a strip of a good quality door mat riveted to the left side. The right side shows the shiny smooth metal. This ramp would probably be alright if the dog can go directly from the seat to the ramp but for my truck this would be too steep. The ramp would be fine for a dog under 50 lbs. I bought the 71 inch long ramp and the angle is good for my truck. The 63 inch long ramp would be too steep.

Works great. Very well made. Heavier than I thought it would be, but quality is not light. Not too heavy though and appreciate the built in handle. I actually bought this to load my foldable electric bike, which is folded into a 55 gallon bin w wheels. Makes it easy to get in SUV.

Using this ramp to facilitate easier loading/unloading of our two e-bikes in/out of my truck. Sliding is way easier than lifting! LOVE its low weight, easy carrying handle, and easy folding... Watch out for pinched fingers though! Good product.
