Rubie's DC Comics Classic Superman Adult Costume

I am a nonbinary person. I didn't want to wear a skirt. Typically women's clothing or feminine clothing is just that...a skirt. But it fits better on my body type. This costume is made for masculine bodies. The reviews were bad so I was skeptical. However, it fit perfect on the bottom (size small) and a little big in the arms area. A five minute sewing job and pair of scissors to fix the length past my wrists took care of the issue. It was perfecttttt.

When taking the costume out of the packaging, the material was disappointing feeling very thin. I ordered a size larger than I would typically wear figuring I would need to wear something under it. When I put it on, not only was it too short, but the arms were hanging off me with the cuffs not even being sewn, could not even get the back to stay velcroed and then the bottom was skin tight, particularly in the crotch area. No chance you could wear it in public as tight as it was because it showed everything underneath it. The screen print logo on the front and the cape were different and very cheap looking. Very disappointed in this product.

Product was great but the inseam is cut too short. Rides up too high. Had to cut it and wear shorts on the outside. Even ordered a second one just bigger same problem inseam is too short.

This item comes directly from Amazon, which is a plus. As for the product, unfortunately, if you have a Superman type body, this item will not fit. I ordered my size according to the chart, but it is definitely suited for slim individuals as opposed to athletic individuals. If you are slim, then you still may have a problem if you are tall. the 33" inseam does not have much give since it is a tight jumpsuit... if you wear a 33" inseam or longer this will not work for you, and you will end up showing off more than you care! I am about 6'2"; and an athletic 230lbs, the large was too small and the XL was too big in the belly and sleeves.However, if you are of average height and body weight, it should work well for you!

First regarding sizing: I read all the reviews and saw all the complaints about how small and tight this costume is, but I didn't find it so small at all. I'm 5'6", 142 lbs, very slim build, usually a small to medium. I went with a large and found it to be ... well, large. Unstretched waist is 40" around, inseam is 33", sleeve length is 26" from shoulder seam to wrist. The cape is 44". I'd say the size chart is accurate. This large would probably fit someone 5'8" or so.The costume itself is fair: it's a one-sy that ties behind the neck, the cape just ties around the front and is not attached to the body of the costume. The "boots" are foam rubber, also sewn on. The fabric is the standard 100% polyester like any costume you'd buy at the store. The red "brief" is sewn into the one-sy and doesn't quite look good, it bends in weird ways. Overall, I'd say it's okay for a party where everyone gets drunk and just wants to have fun.

Along with looking great, the costume breathes wonderfully. It's light weight and fun to wear around the house or to costume parties. One of my favorite costumes.

If you are tall and need for the height -it’s only good for a very wide -heavy man. Silly sizing for tall and normal/slim. Best part are the boots. All material used was really nice- velvets and satins- very good.

It fit well for my size 16 son. It was very roomy for his school uniforms underneath. He is 5 ft and 120lbs. It was a little long but okay with high top sneakers or boots.
