Carves well, but does not melt well. Impossible to use for additional wax addition

This is the PERFECT wax to use for the carving of artistically designed jewelry for the lost wax casting process! Just imagine the joy as this green wax catches every minute detail you lovingly put into your artistic efforts to craft to the exacting tastes of your clients before those designs get stolen by some scumbag sweatshop and mass produced, making your limited run of divine effort into the latest "made by the million" knock-off from some low-end shop using a lead alloy because undercutting your market is their life's mission! Suddenly, every local craft show has one or two dozen copies of your original piece they bought in bulk from an online marketer... HUZZAH!!

It seems like a decent quality, I purchased it to experiment with hot carving. The only minor problem i encountered is it tends to be fragile, but as long as you're expecting that it's perfectly fine for the price

Four stars because even though it's not the most quality wax on the planet, it got the job done. To be honest, I've never worked with jewelry wax before, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality. What I can tell you is that if you have the proper tools and are careful, this wax is not too brittle as to break on you. It didn't for me, and I made many ring iterations with it. If you're anything but a professional, I think that this jewelry wax will work for you. I've attached a few photos of my ring-making process. I am new to casting and used this wax to create an engagement ring with my fingerprint - then proposed to my fiancée with it. The wax must have worked because she said yes!

High quality microcrystalline wax. It melts evenly and solidifies into a solid form.
