Excellent product. Excellent value for money.
I ordered this on a Thursday mid afternoon and it arrived on the Following Tuesday which was very good. Two big heavy boxes shipped from Germany. The hoist is of a very sturdy construction and well made. I used it for lifting fire rated plasterboard onto ceilings and it made the work easily a one man job even with full sheets (1200 x 2400). It is very easy to manoeuvre and enables a good tight hold to the ceiling whilst fixing the screws. It doesn't require much in the way of assembly and is very quick to assemble/disassemble - you can take it apart for storage in two minutes and put it all back together again in the same time. One of the best investments I've made and excellent value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Good machine. Worth the money.
I'm currently double boarding a 10m x 10m ceiling. 65+ boards. A big job! I wouldn't have been able to cope without this machine. I did have offers of labour to give me a lift but as I've never boarded before, I wanted to fix the boards at my own pace. The ceiling is high so I would have needed a platform anyway. I can just about manage to lift the heavy soundbloc boards onto the machine on my own but it is quite high at it's lowest level. So you have to lift the board to approx waist height to get it onto the machine. 2 people can do it easily. Winding up is easy enough but it can be fiddly getting the board into the exact position on your own. I use a couple of adjustable props to get it right. It can be set up and dismantled in 2 minutes and separates into 3 parts. A well designed piece of equipment.

A good machine at a fair price
This a well thought out decent quality machine at a competitive price. It makes lifting plasterboard a one man job, (with some caveats). I must also add, that delivery was exceptional. Ordered on a Sunday night it was dispatched first thing Monday and arrived 3 days later all the way from Germany (in the start of the covid crisis). The only criticisms I have are, 1. getting the board onto the platform is tricky due to the height the board has to be lifted, particularly if you are on your own and if it is heavy board, (such as soundboard or 15mm board). I mitigated this by lifting the board onto a temporary scaffold, one side at a time, then rolling the machine under it. 2. While thift does go the full 11ft as advertised, and the platform can be angled for sloping ceilings, it is not possible to lock the platform in any particular angled position. This would be a useful extra feature.

Does the job.
I did not give it 5 stars for one reason only: it is hard to manouver in tight spaces (kitchens, bathrooms, walk-in closets). Apart from this shortcomming, it works very well and makes the fixing quite easy. I used it for several days fixing heavy 15mm plasterboards untill I finished the renovation of my flat. I don't need it anymore and so I plan to sell it for half price now although it is in excellent condition. Although I used it for several days only, it saved me a lot of money given the prices of these services in UK.

One of the best investments we made
One of the best investments we made. Used for 80+ ceiling sheets 15mm and 12.5mm thick both 3m x 1.2 and 2.4 x 1.2 and up to a ceiling height of 3.35m. It may do higher. Even at this height its only a 1 man job. Very quick to learn how to use. Benefits from some spray lube on cable and pulleys. Once plasterboard is loaded on it can be wheeled around to the location - assuming floor is flat and uncluttered - and then raised up. Wheel brakes useful. It has an automatic lift brake and the board can be pressed tight to the ceiling for final positioning while hopping up the steps to fix it. We also used it for boards with big cut outs and it helps to avoid snapping while manhandling. Only negative to date is that rubber end caps fall off but easily solved with some silicone dabs. It is made from average quality steel and won't last a lifetime but it will easily earn its keep in reducing labour, effort and saving in snapped boards.

Makes a two man job a one man job
Arrived on time nicely boxed and undamaged. All the pieces present. Sturdy construction and simple to erect (self-explanatory really) However, the best bit about this piece of kit is that it allowed me to do ceiling board work that would have been impossible to do by myself. Excellent piece of equipment. Cut your board (if you have to) load it on the lift, raise it up to almost snug, adjust and raise snugly in place, screw in place, lower the lift and start again. It really is as simple as that. Best labour (and back) piece of equipment I've ever bought.

Very good piece of kit
Very good piece of kit. I was installing the heavier acoustic boards to a ceiling in a tight area and this made the job so easy with very little lifting, and lots of manoeuvrability with the swivel head and castors at the bottom to make sure the board was exactly in the right position before screwing. So no need for help as it makes a two person job into something you can do on your own. Also got it much much quicker than the add stated, (less than a week from memory) so don't be put-off by the fact it is coming from Germany, as it actually arrived quicker than a a small carton of screws I ordered,, and they were just coming from Birmingham..!!
