Perfect size, strains wonderfully
I bought this filter to strain milk kefir into cream cheese. It works perfectly! The 1 qt size is the perfect size to easily fit in the door of my fridge, and strains a large mason jar of milk kefir. The whey separates into the bottom, with the cream cheese left in the strainer. Easy to empty and clean. Perfect!! Love it!! [update: I have been using this strainer for milk kefir for 3 months now. Love it! Easy to clean. Strains my kefir into greek yogurt consistency, sour cream or cream cheese texture depending on how long I let it sit in the fridge draining. Love it!]

Capacity listed is NOT for the strainer
The 1100ml capacity is for the whey receptacle; it is NOT the capacity of the strainer. The "fine mesh" strainer will take about 500 ml (a little more than 2 cups) of yogurt. This is not very useful for those of us who make larger batches in virtually any standard yogurt maker. Also, the "fine mesh" strainer is not very fine-- the whey produced is milky colored, not the usual clear liquid that I get from my coffee-filter-in-a-strainer method. Milky white whey results when milk solids are escaping through the strainer.

Easy and useful
It was too small for the big batches of yogurt i make, but it’s really convenient and easy to clean.

Just add 4 times as much water as whey before pouring on your plants.This is a system to strain the curds from the whey but only small batches like a quart of yoghurt. If you want to use big batches of yoghurt this is too small for you so choose a larger kit

Very impractical
This yogurt container is too small to serve of any practical usage. Also the lid doesn’t seal properly causing the yogurt to spoil, yuck!

Works Great.
Works really well for what I got it for: straining yogurt. I generally do about a half gallon of yogurt (then 3 or 4 strainings). It doesn't take up much in the fridge. If I were regularly doing a gallon of yogurt at a time, I might consider something larger, but I think that for a half gallon batch at a time, 3 or 4 strainings works well for a fridge which might be a little tight at times. Works very well.

NOT a liter
Not advertised capacity. Works adequately but absolutely about half the advertised capacity. The entire size may be 1100 ml but that's misleading advertising because buyers expect that the size refers to capacity. Frustrating.

GREAT PRODUCT
I really like to use this for eliminating the watery part of yogurts. It helps make a yogurt that is a really nice consistency (like a thick, Greek yogurt). Overall very good if you want to have thicker, higher quality yogurt.
