Artistic Wire, 30 Gauge Bare Copper Craft Jewelry Wrapping Wire, 30 yd

I ordered this wire twice in the past month to use for making face masks.It is thin enough to not be noticeable, but super sturdy when set in place.Easy to work with: if you don't have pliers or wire cutters, which I don't, you can use your fingers to bend the wire and scissors to cut the wire. I use dog nail cutters to cut the wire because it takes a little less time than regular scissors.

The product came just as described. The gauge and the color was correct. I recommend this product and the seller. I am using it for jewelry making. The enamel color stays on very well and will not come off unless you really twist it off. This is a great alternative to buying copper that is able to tarnish. This has the enamel coating to keep it from tarnishing. Unlike the colored artistic wire, the coloring on this wire will not come off because it is just natural coper. The colored Artistic wire is coper with a color and tarnish resistant enamel on it. This isn't colored, so twisting and scraping with pliers will not effect the color. It may effect the tarnish restant enamel, but that tarnished effect on coper looks good, I think. This is a larger gauge, about the size, maybe a little larger than a wooden pencil lead. Because of the larger gauge, it feels like half hard, not dead soft, which is perfect for making rings, bracelets, and the base or main part of a pendant or earring. I will order more and more of this. Quit reading and buy it already.

i have not worked in jewelry-making for long, and have only begun exploring wire-work... so this is not the review of a seasoned expert, just my observations. oddly enough, i found the 18 gauge copper wire to be stiffer than the silver-plated 18 gauge. a good size for gemstone beads, and sturdy. it bends well, and holds its shape. i even made some abstract (spiral/triangle/star) shapes with it, and it was pleasant to work with. it is very bright, it might benefit from a tarnishing agent to look more stately.

This wire was the very first wire i actually had ever purchased when I recently discovered all about wire jewelry making. This specific wire was PERFECT to start out with when especially making my first few practice wire jewelry pieces. Beyond pleaaed that the wire was everything the description lived up to (and more), and would highly recommend this to beginners as well as advanced wire weaver's, who are looking for the best brand at the most affordable price. Very pretty wire and will without a doubt be orderimg again in the future :)
