The item was fine - not fitted yet of course - but a little annoyed to find no User Manual or Installation Instructions included - an oversight perhaps but should'nt happen.

Hi there, I recently purchased the E7 electronic immersion programmer and the Wi-Fi extender for my boiler. An engineer came on August 16th to install it, but unfortunately, the Wi-Fi extender couldn't connect to the router. However, the Bluetooth connection is working but slow. The engineer suspects that the Wi-Fi extender may be faulty. After contacting the support line and following their instructions, I removed the app and downloaded it again. I encountered several problems trying to log in to the new app, but Charli, the support engineer, kindly assisted me and made great efforts to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the unit still cannot connect to the 2.4 GHz channel. I have tried several times, but it still won’t connect. Additionally, the Bluetooth connection is very slow and takes some time to establish. The main reason I purchased the unit was to have remote access, as this is a holiday home for me. I spoke with the support engineer, who advised that a replacement unit would be sent. However, when I asked who would cover the electrician's cost, he suggested that I could install it myself. I contacted my engineer, who strongly advised against this, stating that a qualified electrician is required for the replacement. Interestingly, the unit came with a security seal stating that it must not be broken, or the item may not be eligible for a refund. I’m concerned about how we can determine if the unit is functioning correctly without breaking the seal. In addition to the time spent trying to resolve this issue, there may be increased costs if the engineer needs to return to remove and reinstall the replacement unit. After searching online, I discovered that I am not the only one experiencing this problem, and I am extremely surprised that this unit was allowed to be sold on Amazon. The unit is currently disconnected from the system. I will provide all the engineer invoices and would like to return the unit and discuss who should be responsible for covering the engineer's costs. Easy swap over for our old Horstmann Economy 7 Quartz timer with the adaptor included. Done in 5 mins and connected to Bluetooth easily (just allow 5 minutes for the unit to activate its Bluetooth). Great value for money compared to a new Horstmann unit.

Very pleased, updated older version, plug and play, new install took minutes.

If you are coming from an old analouge Economy 7 Quartz (mine was Horstmann), replacing with this could not be easier! Highly recommended if you're looking to retrofit from this older unit, really did the job!

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a Wi-Fi modular for the e7

Works as it should. I use it for regular and boost heating rods. Mobile phone control is amazing, especially for programming the regular "off-peak" heating periods. Super convenient and fast. The only tricky part was mounting the WiFi plate on the device. I had to remove the WiFi's front plastic cover and mount the electronic plate first, then the plastic cover next. It wasn't designed to be done like that, but the proper way was not possible for me.

The product seems good But it was not very clear that the Wi-Fi module had to be purchased separately Also, the Wi-Fi module was not very easy to insert into the unit Overall the product works well, but the communication with the app is quite slow

The device itself is great—good quality, etc. Installation is very easy (the entire process is shown on YouTube). However, the app is a complete failure and completely ruins the whole idea behind the device. The connection between the phone and the device takes up to 1 minute every single time and always requires the GPS to be activated. What's worse, the connection is still very slow even when I am standing just one meter away from the device.
