Perfect Fit for my 1970 Schwinn
I picked up these replacement tires and tubes for my 1970 Schwinn, and they are perfect! The fit was exactly right, and they gave my vintage bike a fresh, smooth ride. The quality is solid, and the tires hold air well without any issues. If you’re looking to restore your classic Schwinn or just need a reliable replacement, these tires and tubes are a great choice. Couldn’t be happier with how they perform!Ease of Installation note: some buyers may find it hard to install these tires. Generally tire installation on older bikes could be a bit more challenging. Use a tire lubricant or soap on the bead and rim whenever you have trouble setting the bead.Roll resistance: perfect

Solid tires
They look nice, packaged nicely, and came in 2 days. Look durable. Definitely will be buying another set for my other retro bike.

27" bicycle tires
These tires were a good value for the price. The thickness and fit were great. They have good traction and look good on the bike. Can't comment on the durability yet as I have only put about 20 miles on the tires so far

So far, so good
I'm using these tires on a vintage Borthwick tandem bike (circa 1990). This is a steel chromoly frame that still has the bike's original Specialized 27.25" wheel kit. The frame is very responsive and absorbs a lot of the bumps in the road. I'm running the tires at 80 psi. My stoker and I combined weight about 250 lbs. The bike weighs about 30 lbs. As you might notice in the photo, these are tandem wheels, so there are lots of spokes! We've ridden about 15 miles on these tires so far in Iowa City, where we've hit enough bumps and potholes for my stoker to chew me out. It's been smooth sailing with the tires. We are headed to the Midwest Tandem Rally in Decatur this weekend, where we'll ride 100+ miles in three days. No news is good news. Meaning, if I don't update this review, the tires have held up well and worked as they should.I've seen some negative reviews where the buyer said that the tire blew out at low mileage. I wish reviewers would say more about the tire pressure, wheel kit, and bike they were running the tires on. Any tire can blow out with the wrong combination of weight and pressure.***UPDATE AS OF 9/6/22***We rode 100+ miles over the holiday weekend on these tires. We blew a spoke on our front wheel, but the tires held up great!***UPDATE AS OF 6/1/23***The rear Kenda tire on our tandem blew with less than 500 miles on the tire. It popped loudly like a balloon and split along the tread (see photo). I had maintained the tires at 80 psi, but am now thinking I should probably run the rear tire closer to 75. It blew on a hot day a little over 20 miles into a ride after having pumped the tire back up to full pressure earlier in the day. I'm keeping my 5-star rating despite the blow-out because Kenda replaced the tire under warranty without any hassle.

Really nice retro looking set of tires!
I recently was looking for replacement tires for some very old tires on my 1987 Fuji Sagres. The tires literally started to fall apart which were 27 1 1/8. I looked around and found these and thought they would work well for replacements. I don't ride the bike often but my 14year old son has really taken an interest in the bike and I think it's cool that he's wanting to ride it now. I was a little torn between a newer set that was all black but I'm REALLY glad I opted to stick with gum walls. The tires look very sharp and feel good on the road. They went on very easily and look like they belong on the bike. I would definitely recommend these if you are looking to stay with the old school style of your old bike. Thank you!

Don't hold up under use, could easily be a safety issue
I've had great luck with other Kenda bike tires, but I've bought four of these gumwall tires, for my wife's vintage Peugeot bike, and these tires have all failed within a few months of use. They start to bulge and warp after only a few months of use, if that much, and with less than a hundred miles on them. I'm a long-time bike mechanic so I'm always checking my tires to make sure they're in good shape, so I caught these bulges before they blew out. This kind of defect is not just ugly, it could be downright dangerous to an unaware rider.
P**!
Old school road bike tires.
I used these to keep the original look and feel of a 40 year old Chromoly 12 speed road bike.My only complaint is the mounting orientation. They are directional, but the tread pattern is hard to "read".Directional arrows would make these perfect.
