Big improvement in quality control.
A year ago I bought the same tires and they had a 50% failure rate. I ordered two new tires and there has Definitely been an improvement in quality control. These tires fit and ride great and they hold the tire pressure without popping or bulging out. I’m glad I gave them another try.

So far, so good
I'm using these tires on a vintage Borthwick tandem bike (circa 1990). This is a steel chromoly frame that still has the bike's original Specialized 27.25" wheel kit. The frame is very responsive and absorbs a lot of the bumps in the road. I'm running the tires at 80 psi. My stoker and I combined weight about 250 lbs. The bike weighs about 30 lbs. As you might notice in the photo, these are tandem wheels, so there are lots of spokes! We've ridden about 15 miles on these tires so far in Iowa City, where we've hit enough bumps and potholes for my stoker to chew me out. It's been smooth sailing with the tires. We are headed to the Midwest Tandem Rally in Decatur this weekend, where we'll ride 100+ miles in three days. No news is good news. Meaning, if I don't update this review, the tires have held up well and worked as they should. I've seen some negative reviews where the buyer said that the tire blew out at low mileage. I wish reviewers would say more about the tire pressure, wheel kit, and bike they were running the tires on. Any tire can blow out with the wrong combination of weight and pressure. ***UPDATE AS OF 9/6/22*** We rode 100+ miles over the holiday weekend on these tires. We blew a spoke on our front wheel, but the tires held up great! ***UPDATE AS OF 6/1/23*** The rear Kenda tire on our tandem blew with less than 500 miles on the tire. It popped loudly like a balloon and split along the tread (see photo). I had maintained the tires at 80 psi, but am now thinking I should probably run the rear tire closer to 75. It blew on a hot day a little over 20 miles into a ride after having pumped the tire back up to full pressure earlier in the day. I'm keeping my 5-star rating despite the blow-out because Kenda replaced the tire under warranty without any hassle.

Easy to install
Fits how it should, the last set i bought exploded when i left it in the sun, not sure if thats user error but i read that its more likely with gumwall. They look great on my classic roadbike and have handles lots of miles

Perfect for my 40 year old Bianchi
These are the only tires I have found that fit properly on my old Bianchi road bike. The other ones work for a while, then blow off the rim.

Seem reasonable
Good value, appear to be of good quality. Have only gone for a few rides so far.

50 percent defect rate, by my experience
I bought 2 of these tires through Amazon. One was fine. The other was defective. After less than 100 miles of riding, the inner casing stretched at the center seam. This resulted in a large bulge in the tire, making it unridable as well as posing a blow-out threat. Kenda does not stand by their products if they were not bought directly from Kenda. Do not buy this tire!
