This aquarium light has the latest energy efficient daylight leds. The sunset is kinda nice to watch adding evening interest see photo and avoids startling the fish with a sudden blackout.If there is a power cut the settings will remain but you will need to adjust the current time. Fortunately this is easy to do by holding down the 24/7 button and adjusting the flashing indicator.The colour of the daylight spectrum is too yellow for my preference. Unfortunately it is not possible to adjust to a cooler white which I prefer for my Malawi reef tank but I already had a adjustable blue led strip which I use to give the best color lighting for my fish.It looks well made and once you get used to the controls it works very well. Recommended

Lovely light sequences, constant colour, or 24 your setting changed to go with day and night, very easy to use just plug it in set the control and leave it goes off for 12 hours if on 24 hour, wipe clean, good suction to stick anywhere in your tank, I have mine on the lid, small size ideal for small square tank.

I have three fish tanks, two of them are large and have fluval plant 3.0 on them.. this lamp is ten times cheaper.. so comparing them seems very unfair.So I'll just be sarcastic and nitpickyThe tank this lamp went on is essentially my hospital tank. It has twoodes 24/7 and normalThe 24/7 feature is tricky to set up, but it's not as difficult as it's made out in most of the reviews..if you're old enough to have operate a digital watch from the 80's it's as annoying as that. The issue however is that the 24/7 setting is fixed to a 14h day cycle and you can't alter the brightness, Which if you want lots of algae, this will suit your needs.. I'm keeping shrimp in this tank a, so.. it does.The other timed feature allows you to set your time for much more reasonable times. And you get to choose the colour of your light.. the only one worth having is the all colours option which looks brilliant. But I guess if you really need a one colour lamp that looks extremely unnatural then it gives you that option. Red, blue, orange, purple ect.. or disco mode (not kidding it has that).Okay so with all the downsides, it's a lamp you can set to come on and go off.. you can adjust the brightness and it's plenty bright for the size.. all the added features seem a bit silly, the 24/7 feature is so disappointing as, if you could set a shorter day cycle or change the brightness it would be more useful.All on in all you get what you pay for.. but this is probably the best you'll get for this price range..

Great light system at a very reasonable price. I love watching the sunrise and sunset programmes, watching my fish active in the morning as the light simulates the sun coming up. Very easy to install and easy to set up the 24/7 programme to simulate natural day/night lighting so I don't have to do anything.

Excellent led lights, love how they ramp up and down without silly orange and blue lighting effects like the hygger when using the 24/7 timer. I have 2 of these and purchased one for my dad who also loves the quality of lighting inside the tank, brightness is excellent and really brings out the colours in plants and fish, i have various plants and both myself and my dad have seen huge improvements in plant growth.Build quality is excellent fully water proof and suction cups are very good although it depends on the type of plastic surface on one lid i had to dab a bit of glue it kept failing into the water but once glued its not a problem this no way puts me off the lights.Personally i highly recommend these over the hygger 24/7 led's that have a cold blue tinge to the tank and the seaoura a more red warmer tinge but in fairness you no longer notice the difference after a few days with either even though i have hygger and seaoura lights it was only noticeable upon first setting up and i no longer notice the difference in blue and red tinge after a while but the Seaoura definitely brings out better fish and plant colour with a warmer effect.The power cable is incredibly long and the control panel is really good quality, the DIY timer on both the seaoura and hygger are way overly complicated compared to the standard 24/7 timer i use and when a power cut occurs resetting the DIY timer on multiple leds is a complete headache.I have both fluval aquasky 2.0 and fluval plant 3.0 i much prefer the seaoura over the aquasky 2.0 but i cannot compare against the plant 3.0 as its just a higher grade quality but in all honesty even with the Bluetooth apps custom ability i honesty would get similar if not the same plant growth with medium and low light demanding plants i honesty would be satisfied with the fish and plant colour with a seaoura if ever my fluval led's packed up in those tanks and for price difference its a no brainer.

It’s nice that you’ve got it on a timer or you can change it to see yourself.. definitely value for money and it fitted in the tank, lovely The measurements were exact.

Good light if you can work out how to use it on limited instructions and the suckers suck as it falls off regularly, thankfully it floats or my fish would have been squashed to death by now
