Got this mount cause I like to ride around town and go up the mountains in my Ducati Hypermotard and always wanted to carry my HT radio with me. Before I would just throw it in my back pack and ride. But would always have to pull over if I want to use the radio. Well even when you're riding. You shouldn't want to use the radio anyways. But the clamp works great and fit a lot of the Chinese made HT and some Motorola. Even with the rubber gripes I find you that if you use a small stripe of gripe tape. The mount is solid and will not go anywhere even in the roughest of roads. Great mount and it holds my HT radio securely and comes with a small foam pad so you can stick on the back side to take out the slop on the radio belt clip.

While it technically does what it says, the mechanism that holds it to the handlebars doesn’t tighten very well, and the clip for the radio lets is move side to side too much. Overall it works but I wouldn’t use it for any radio you don’t want to lose.

I like the idea of having a bike mount for my 2-way radio. The quick release is very handy to install and remove the mount quickly. It is large so finding a clear area on your handlebars was a challenge for me. My radio also has an extended battery that makes mounting difficult. The instructions were good but left out an important step. There is a concave rubber insert that must go in the socket half of the mount with the concave shape facing outward.
