Awesome set for the price
My regular practice watercolors are Cotman pans, I use them for practice, studies and on the go painting, and the palettes are really hard to beat for portability, mixing areas , the transparency of colors which is important when you begin learning watercolors and affordability when you need new pans. I wanted something larger but no too large to be able to take a couple of larger brushes , and also needed to buy extra color half pans. I found this set, read about them and for the price of just a new metal palette similar in size (like other reviewers have posted) + $6 I decided to take a chance. And I am very happy I did. This set is truly transparent except for a couple of colors, zero chalkiness, they re wet easily and won't rub off the paper after dry. The tin itself is well made, it has a ring at the bottom. The brush is not of use for me because it is very soft and has no much body to it.This set is perfect for practice, I wouldn't use them for final works because there is no light fastness rating compared to my Cotmans for example, but if you use them in your covered sketchbook they should be fine. At first it might seem like there are many similar colors but you'll get surprised once you start mixing. Also having 34 colors the set will last you for a while, considering you can't buy half pans separately. Many of the colors actually granulate very nice which is a nice surprise. This set is way better than other cutesy brands, I was gifted a set of Koi and gave them away because they were so chalky and good only for coloring but not mixing and learn about watercolors. You can actually practice well with this set.I have attached some photos for your comparison with Cotman colors. You have every color you need if you are just beginning with this set and instead of buying more colors or more expensive paint to begin with try buying good paper to really enjoy watercolor and a good brush.

Perfect!!!
I’m learning watercolor painting, and started with a terrible stiff and chalky set of paints that I thought would be good enough for learning… they were terrible. Soon as I got these, I tore in and misted them to give them a spin! Perfect, vibrant, flowing color immediately filled the page and I felt like maybe I can actually do this!!! Highly recommend for a beginner especially… they’re not too expensive and work so well! I watched and read a lot of reviews before settling on this as my real beginner set, and am so glad I did that research to find the right ones for my learning journey!

Beautiful Watercolors!
As a watercolor beginner, I love these watercolors. They are much better than some other ones I’ve tried in the past that made me despise watercolor. These are not chalky! The colors are pigmented and beautiful, easy to activate and use. I would definitely recommend this product to any beginners! The case itself is a very nice and durable Tun. It closes very easily and securely. It does have a ring on the bottom to hold in, which I am not very fond of, but I can remove it if I want so that’s not a big deal! I’m sure it comes in handy for some artists.I love how small and compact this watercolor tin is as it is easy to carry around, and it’s such a pretty color too! It does have space on the lid to mix if you’d like as well, which is very handy and helps save desk space when working. The watercolors are poured into plastic wells, so that’s something to keep in mind, if you prefer half pans that you can move around, but personally, I don’t mind. Also the water brush is just fine, but I prefer to use traditional painting brushes. But I tested it out and it does just fine. Very convenient and easy to store. A nice touch for on the go painting!Overall, great watercolors! I purchased them a while back and I throughly enjoyed using them!(The pumpkin painting I did was done on Canson watercolor paper and it works beautifully)

Great choice for all experience levels
This paint set was recommended to me and it's a great find for such a great price! Love the colors and the metallics. Comes in a nice metal case. The paints come in individual pans that you'll need to unpack before use but that doesn't take too long. I'd recommend organizing the paints to sit in the same way as the paint list to make it easier to locate each color (mine didn't come set up in the same order). The paints themselves are easy to use and seem very creamy. The metallics are a fun addition in this set as well, making it well worth the few extra bucks from the set without!

Bright Colors, Easy to Use
I am a beginning watercolorist. I had another sketchers palette by a "known" brand, but found it didn't have enough colors and I am not that good at mixing yet. So I got this. I really love the variety of colors. I find they apply with richness and depth. The palette is easy and portable. These may not be top quality watercolors, but as I explore techniques and styles they are really perfect.

Glorious color
I recently started experimenting with water colors and wondered if quality really does make a difference, the short answer is absolutely! I had purchased a "set" that included brushes, pencils and other supplies at a local big box store when on a whim I ordered these after watching a review/ad on social media. I could not believe how nice they were!! I had always associated watercolors with chalky disks providing thin, wet color. What this pan provided was rich pigment and a smooth, nice full bodied feel, more like an Acrylic than any watercolor I had ever used. I'm so glad I bought them, they make painting enjoyable and I will buy more if I continue with this new hobby.

Great set for beginners and experienced watercolor painters.
After watching YouTube videos to learn watercolor painting techniques, I noticed a few instructors were using the palette! The price is amazing. It offers many colors so that you don’t have to mix colors when you are starting out!

Vibrant colors. Not at all chalky or crumbly. Very happy
I did some research before buying this set. I'm new to the medium, so didn't want to waste my money on a meh set or spend a fortune. I love this set. Colors are so vibrant and smoothe. The included brush made painting on vacation easy. A friend saw how pretty the colors were so I gave her a set. Would highly recommend. Really nice set.

Vibrant and creamy
Nice and bright, easy to use but are sometimes a little too rich. Need to get used to using less colour. But lovely colours.

Seems ok so far
The colours seem nice so far but the colours in the box are different from the ones shown on the packaging and on the swatch card. I haven’t tested them properly yet, but they appear to activate easily from the pan.Not sure who to contact about the mismatch of palette colours and swatch/ packaging as all information is in Chinese.

Okay for beginners
It’s okay for beginners for sure. Great selection of colours. Vibrant colours while painting. But with more transparent finishes and bigger pieces, once the paint dries, it doesn’t look the best. Dries a bit patchy.
