DERNORD 2 Pcs Sanitary Female Threaded Ferrule Pipe Fittings + SUS304 Tri-clamp (Tri-clover Clamp) + Silicone Gasket (Female Threaded Pipe Size:3/4 Inch DN20)

I bought this (as well as the Male version) to put on my honey warmer (18-gallon heated honey tank). I mixed and matched one female piece with one male piece so that I didn't have to add an extra M/M or F/F adapter. I have not seen any problem with the stainless steel and they are well-made.

Easy to install

I picked up this assembly because I wanted to add a TC fitting to a brew kettle (welding the female fitting in so I would have a 1/2" FPT inside to attach a screen tube or angled tube on the inside). I needed the female fittings for the kettle side and, on the other side, a ball valve, plus the clamp and gasket. This fit the bill perfectly, and at a much lower price than I could find separately. I have other Dernord SS 1/2" hardware and have been 100% satisfied with it. It looks and feels great, as good as the more expensive fittings I've bought.

Ordered two sets of these. Quality is good no problems there. First set was fine no problems. Second set when I went to thread on turned half a turn and locked up. I tried to use a wrench but it was not going to go. I checked with another 1/2 fnpt fitting I had and screwed it onto the mnpt I was trying to connect to with no problems. So I knew the issue was with the fnpt threads on these fittings. Nothing looked boogered up on the threads it just appears to me that it might be cut to 1/2" bsp instead of the tapered npt. Waiting on replacement to come in will update to see if third set works. UPDATE replacement set arrived and were 1/2" npt no problem so must have just been a packaging mess up on the one set. Even though the fittings that didn't work were laser etched 1/2" npt.

The two triclamp fittings come pre-clamped together using a very strong rubber gasket. This makes them impossible to pry apart. Although I managed to take a dowel rod and pry one set apart, I ended up having to put the second in a vice and chewing one fitting off with a pair of channel locks…so although I bought 4, I now have 3 sanitary fittings.
