adidas Men Cushioned X II Crew Sock (2-Pair)

I saw several reviews warning that these socks wouldn't last more than 6 months. I figured, well, I'll try them out anyway; those people must be a lot harder on socks than I am. When these arrived, I liked them a lot-- ended up getting 6 pairs. But five months later, EVERY ONE of those twelve socks had at least one hole and/or a hugely annoying threadbare spot. I expect (and almost always get) a lot more durability than that. Short version-- they're good while they last, but Adidas has engineered them to be garbage within six months-- which to me means they're just garbage, period.

What is it with men and socks? Well, our 15 year old and 12 year old grandsons, who have been known to have a small argument over socks were delighted with these. I think that each boy received 8 pairs in different color strips (navy for one boy and black for the other) so that there would be no more grouching over whose socks any particular pair belong to. The boys' mom said that they were delighted with such a thoughtful gift.

Love these socks! I have to wear khakis every day at work, and the arch support on these keep my feet from aching, the extra heel and toe cushion protect from pinching and blisters and the high quality elastic keeps them from drooping all day. They beat the heck out of every pair of normal 'dress socks' I've tried. I have six pairs now, and tossed all of my crappy socks. I bought the gray/charcoal ones to wear with jeans. And yes, a great pair of socks makes a difference. Treat yourself, you won't regret it. Why don't they make them in white??

I’m too late for a refund. By the time I realized all four pairs were CRAP, I decided to return them but couldn’t get to the UPS drop off location by the deadline which was 1 month after purchase. Purchased on 1-14 and you required me to have them at UPS by 2-14. I wasted $30. Not a single pair even lasted 3 weeks. I ignored the reviews and bought them anyway. Dumb! There were several that state they got huge holes. We are not rough on our socks. This is NORMAL wear. These are not the same quality I bought at the store.

Everyone one of the these socks that I got I wore with my new boots. Within 3 months of owning them they all got a large hole in the ball of the foot in both socks (left and right). I'm not exceptionally hard on my socks or boots. I don't do PT in them all I do is walk through facilities in them, nothing strenuous. I have cheap crew socks from the big W store near you and from their bigger bulk cousin Sam that I've used for (literally) years that don't show that kind of wear on them. These were quite nice in the first 2 months of wearing them, but now they are all gone.

I have bought quite a few of these socks and each batch seems to last less time than the last. They are comfortable and do wick moisture and I like the color choice. I am not sure I can keep buying them.

Socks look nice and were very comfortable to wear. Used them about 6 or 7 times. Would wear to work for approximately 10 hour stretchs at a time. Went to pull a pair on today and noticed a sizable hole right over the protruding ankle bone on my right foot. Incredibly disappointed. Material had simply separated, no indication of fiber wear. Would not purchase again considering price point.

I don't know how they will hold up over time, but I love the feel and stretch of these socks. It strikes a great balance between fitted or specialized (more expensive) socks and normal socks. After getting a pack in two colors, a month later I bought two more packs of each. I don't want to risk not being able to get more. They are a great inexpensive pair of socks.
