Please don't purchase this poor quality tap. Mine failed just past the 2 year warranty point. Not prepared to pay £50/£60 for a replacement cartridge. Plus, the chrome was lifting also. Avoid!!

Having bought this approximately 3 years ago I've just replaced it with a different tap from another manufacturer. The premium price I really don't think is justified by the performance. It's a good looking tap with a smooth feeling action but after 6m to 1yr the chrome finish had cracked and degraded significantly in several areas. After 2 years the the chrome coating had started to peel off entirely around the base, and after 2.5 years the tap looked awful and the previously smooth mechanism was now stiff and awkward to use. I'd assume that despite the brand repuation these taps have been significantly value engineered and now I would certainly not pay the premium for a Grohe tap again. Incidentally I have a Grohe Eurocube kitchen mixer bought around the same time which is in much better condition and a truly 5 star tap, so perhaps it is something unique to this model, who knows.

I have purchased Grohe products for years and due to a recent home rennovation purchased 3 Grohe showers, 4 taps/bath mixer valves etc. All are great expect this one which I purchased from Amazon as a result of not being able to source a tap of this size anywhere else. Very dissapointed to note that after having been installed in my downstairs cloakroom for just two months, this tap is showing signs of erosion on the top of the tap - very unusual for Grohe products. As a previous review has suggested, perhaps it is an issue with this specific model. Not happy.

When fitted the tap cartridge was clearly not working when the handle activated, water came out of the top, returned and a replacement ordered. Original was marked as used like new.
