Great Ankermake M5c upgrade!
After the second hotend fan went out in less than a year of owning my Ankermake M5C I decided to give this a try purely in the hopes that it would be a more durable replacement. While it's too soon to know how much longer it'll last compared to the oem replacement fans, I have to say that my overall print quality has improved dramatically! All the silly little issues that had me chasing my tail, tweaking settings constantly are now over. Layer adhesion, bed adhesion, bridging problems, elephant footing, general warping... gone. I've even been able to stop using brims or rafts and my supports separate with nearly no post-print cleanup. Obviously, your results may vary but I'm absolutely recommending this fan as the best drop-in hotend fan upgrade if you own an Ankermake M5C. Installation is a breeze using the included 2 wire adapter, a few hex wrenches from your ankermake tool kit, and some pliers to help lock down the scotch locks. Just cut off your old fan's connector leaving enough wire for routing around the extruder gear and connect it to the 2 wire adapter via the scotch locks (red to grey, black to black). If you've never used scotch locks before, remember that it's not necessary to strip the wires, just make sure they're fully inserted into the scotch lock and press the center down as straight as possible. If you get it canted, it could break the scotch lock (others have mentioned this in their reviews). Luckily, Noctua provides 4 in the kit so you have extras for 2 wire applications like the M5C. Otherwise the installation is just the same as an oem replacement and instructions can be found on Ankermake's support site. If I somehow acquire another M5C, I'd do this swap as soon as it's out of the box. I'm that sold. My only gripe is that it doesn't appear that they make a 3010 version to replace my noisy pcba fan. Buy this fan if you have an Ankermake M5C, seriously. Oh yeah, it's super quiet too!

Great fan -- worth the price easily
I used this fan on an Ender 3 V2 and did not need to modify anything. I connected it directly to the hot-end fan terminal so it runs all the time. The included adapters were helpful because I did not have to strip any wires myself. This saved me time and hassle. It is very quiet compared to the original mainboard fan. Cooling seems about the same even though this fan uses less power. The fan feels well made and comes with several adapter options. Overall it is a good value and worth the extra cost for the adapters and features.

Great little fan for 3D printing upgrades
My Creality Ender 3 V3 SE hot end fan started squealing really bad after 3 months of use so I ordered a replacement. From amazon pictures and listing it showed OEM fan but received generic and it was squealing out of the box tried again another seller same result so that was my motivation to finally upgrade my hotend. If upgrading a fan you can’t beat Noctua fans so thats what I ordered. The fan comes with everything you need except the plug to match hotend so I just cut the cord of the factory fan and using supplied scotchlok uy2 (don't strip the wire it goes on insulated wire best) to connect with included plug to wire adapter and printed a new housing and was ready. It’s amazing how quiet this fan is and still pushes so much air. Compared to factory you can”t even tell its on by sound and it moves at least triple the volume of air. This is probably the best beginner printer upgrade yo can do and see and hear the results, only toped by adding octoprintwith a raspberry Pi to printer and while easy to do the fan upgrade easier. All my fans in computer on noctua as well because they just make great fans.

Perfect Drop In Replacement To Quieten The Noisy Sovol SV08 3D Printer
This was a perfect drop in replacement to cool the Sovol SV08 motherboard. The original fan is very noisy and I can barely hear this fan. The entire upgrade added only five minutes to the printer assembly. The original SV08 motherboard fan is wired to 24V to run constantly. It's possible to move the connector to another header that is connected to an output and add a line to the Klipper config file so the motherboard fan only runs when needed to cool the MCU, and PID control adjusts the speed so it only runs fast enough to cool the MCU, but this Noctua fan is so quiet that I didn't bother with PID control. It runs full speed all the time and it's quiet. This is a very high reliability fan, so even running constantly, it'll outlive the 3D printer. I liked this quiet Noctua fan so well that I bought two 120 mm Noctua fans to add forced ventilation to an enclosure I'm designing and building for the SV08 3D printer. This Noctua fan probably cost me 20 times what Sovol spent for the little noise maker that they chose to cool the motherboard, but once you compare the two, you'll know where all of that extra money went.

I mean it's a Noctua
What else can I say other than the fact it's a Noctua. These are always reliable and super quiet. I just wish they made more sizes in 24v. Replaced my stock, super loud motherboard fan on my 3d printer and now I don't even hear this fan blowing at full speed

High-quality fans!
These fans are dead silent. Granted, they don't move as much air as their noiser cousins, but are more than adequate for the job. I love these things and will be replacing ALL of the fans on my Ender 3 with them. Solid build, quality evident in every detail, good selection of accessories provided (vibration-damping feet, a resistor that makes it even quieter, wiring adapters... everything you could need.)

impressive sound difference!
the sound difference is insane, I want to noctua everything, it only 4 stars because of the Omni join connectors, it took 2 attempts after I got it right, it was hard to crimp wile also holding the cables, otherwise I'm very satisfied printer: ender 3 v3 ke

Quiet and cool!
Perfect replacement on my Ender 3 V1. I was having print quality issues and after full failures before installing this, turned out my old stock fan wasn't spinning as fast as it should. Prints are looking great again! Just buy it! What are you waiting for??

Due to their 24V rating, these are advertised as a "silent" alternative to the stock fans of your 3D printer. And yes, they are silent but mostly because they move about half the air a stock fan does. I used these to replace the fans on my Ender 3 and the result was nothing but problems. It doesn't cool the heat sink of the hot end enough causing filament to bulge before it reaches the hot end. This results in under extrusion and extruder skipping because it needs a lot more force to push the filament through the hot end. Also, when changing filament, I had to take the extruder apart because due to the bulging of the filament, the filament got stuck in the lever of the extruder. So for now, I'm stuck with using the stock but very noisy fan until I find a proper "silent" replacement...

Bought to put into my Anker Maker M5C. Note you will have to use the included scotch locks and wire the old fan connector for the hot end. The fan fits though. For the main board / Marlin board you will need to print an adapter to fit the 40mm to the existing mount. You don’t need to modify the fan connector. Would recommend especially since the stock fans sound terrible. These are quieter but the fan quality is what I was after. Very straightforward mod for the M5C

Quality fan, as described. Replaced the drive cooling fan in my Ender 3, Original fan was way to loud... This fan you cant even hear at full speed, and it pushes more air the the original fan as well!
