Whole house surge protector.
I would recommend all households to have these installed . Very reasonably priced , high quality, and easy to install . This will really protect your household electrical if you ever have a surge.

Easy install
Every house needs one sin e power companies do not give clean steady power and I had computers and heat pump motherboards burn up to low and high voltages before I installed one. No issues now for years!

The one on the right had been opened, maybe installed
I bought two. One was in a sealed package. The second one had obviously been opened. Hopefully it was opened and put back in after someone looked at it and MLjust returned it. There is a small scuff area on it, so it may have been installed. I'm a certified electrician so I will test it before sending it back then perhaps I'll keep it and increase the rating..Update!...I increased the rating to 4 stars because I installed the one that the package had obviously been opend, and the green light came on so It should be fine.... I will be keeping it..

It feels good to have whole house protection.
Fortunately, it never had to turn the power off. But, it is good to know that the house is protected.

Easy to install. Quality fixture.
It's Square D. Buy it, install it, and forget it. You will not find a higher quality standard than the D.

Easy install
This is a type 1 meaning it can go directly onto the bus after the main breaker. The most I had to do for safety purposes was turn off the main breaker. Attached my wires with terminal ends per code add an additional neutral bus bar and it was done. Simple system. Let’s hope it does its job.
