This is a game I've not seen before and I'm never sure how hard it will be to learn, but it was relatively easy to figure out. A basic turn consists of one person trying to get another person to guess their word while another player tries to guess faster, all scoring points based on who guessed the most and they have 30 seconds to do it. The next turn moves so that all of the players have a new role. This keeps going until everyone has had a turn to have someone guess their words. Some things to be aware of: - Everyone makes up their own words based on the cards. For some people, it's easy to come up with a 5 letter word with a W in the middle, but not for the younger players. We remedied this by 1.) giving our younger players a list of words with the specified number of letters and 2.) only using 3 and 4 letter words. - If you or someone you are playing with is not good at fill in word games (think Wheel of Fortune or Hangman), this is NOT a good game for them. One of our players got really frustrated because they weren't able to quickly create a word with only one given letter and blanks. - The box says 10+ but the listing says younger. I would say 10+ minimum, especially based on the prior note. -The score sheet is not really conducive to easy scoring. There aren't enough columns to account for the points that are given on each round. We just drew extra columns. There's a chance that we didn't understand the scoring, but we couldn't figure out how to make it work with what was given. -If you play this game a lot, you will need more score sheets - not a huge deal but it would be great if there were printables (maybe a QR code link?) Overall, if you like word games, this is a good game and I think it could cause a lot of laughs, especially for people with a great vocabulary. For the price, it's a great deal so if you're even considering, I would give it a try.

We played this at our weekly board game night. Like many games, the enjoyment of this game will vary and depend on the people you are playing it with and how those people feel about word party games. It is pretty easy to setup, understand, and play. It is also pretty quick to play. The general concept is that you will write down secret words according to the clue cards that you are dealt (if your card says D _ _ , then you could write down day or dog or whatever you want that fits within that clue) and then, on your turn to give clues, you will be giving clues to the person to one side of you in hopes that they will guess the secret word you've written for each clue card and you both will score points if your teammate guesses correctly. AT THE SAME TIME, the person on the other side of you is the interceptor and is trying to guess your secret words based on your clues before your teammate can guess them. So in this way, it becomes one of those word party games where you want to give clever enough clues that your teammate will guess your words but not so obvious where the interceptor can guess them first. The other fun bit is that the teammates, interceptors, etc., will change throughout the game as the turns move around the circle and the directions change between rounds. I am a person who loves all sorts of games and I found this game to be cute, simple, and clever. However, I know that it is not as universal of a game as some of the others that I own (I have found word games to be polar and party games to be polar among the different groups that I play with as people either love or hate them) and that I will have certain game groups that love it and others that will not like it or will be mixed. If you love word party games and play with other people that love word party games, I would definitely recommend trying this one out.
