I purchased this to hide in the sandbox for my nieces and nephews. They really enjoy searching for them. It only takes a short time in water to soften the clay. It is messy, though. Good for outdoor entertainment.

My kids LOVE these! They’re super fun and easy to dig into and have cute little dinos in the middle. They are a bit messy, so we put down a big blanket we can shake out and wash or a tablecloth that’s disposable when we do them. But they are honestly easy to clean up if you do this and the powder doesn’t stain. It’s a great busy activity if the kids are stuck inside for whatever reason or you want something entertaining you can all do together. It also comes with a little pamphlet with info about all the little dinosaurs. I definitely would recommend this for preschool age and up.

I chose this brand of Dino-dig eggs because of the price and reviews. They did meet my expectations for quality and were also a huge success at the party. In order to make them do-able at a kids party where most kids were between the ages of 2-5, I put bowls of water on the table for the kids to dunk their eggs. That made digging out the Dinos a lot less frustrating and more fun for the kids, and it didn’t take forever like just chipping away at the plaster would have taken. Fair warning - it is a very messy project! Use a disposable table cloth and heavy paper plates for each kid to dig on. That helped a lot with clean up.

We got these for my daughters birthday party so all the kids could have a little something to do with their hands if they needed to take a break from the playground. The dinos inside are cute and it's not too hard for them to break apart (like some excavating toys are). I love that it comes in a big pack so we had enough for the party, too!

There is a discrepancy in the age suitability range. The box says "Ages 6+", but the ad says "ages 3-12". I assume it is a safety hazard for younger than 6 so I will now have to wait until the little one is 6. I don't want to be the person who gave a toy that caused a medical event.

Great product with great value for money. Super fun for kids who are into dinosaurs. Plus the booklet they give with the package is great for kids who want more info about the dinosaurs that come out of the egg. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
