Excellent Device, good speed on USB 3
I had bought a 2.5" 15mm 5.0TB Seagate hard drive many months ago but was unable to use it because it is a very thick drive @ 15mm. I would not fit in any laptop or caddy, so I was thinking to put in in my desktop. This USB Enclosure enabled me to use the 5TB HDD as a backup storage device and has excellent speed electronics. During a 2TB data transfer run, I observed average data transfer runs of 40 - 70 MB/s on USB 3.0.Highly recommended!

This case is a very nice build quality and the fact that you have to ...
I spent days searching for a 2.5 inch caddy that would fit my 15mm 3TB drive.I initally bought a 9mm one accidentally, however I made use of it with my spare 300GB HDD.This case is a very nice build quality and the fact that you have to use screws to secure it is not an issue (unless you are planning to replace the drive often). The ONLY con is that the lid (top part that slides off) is a little wider on the long sides. However this is not intrusive at all and only noticeable if you are weird like me.

Quick and efficient connection
This very light and able bit of kit has enabled me to attach an SSD from a previous machine onto my new machine with speed and minimum fuss.Thoroughly recommended!

Works great. Feels cheaper than it looks
It feels much much cheaper than it looks unfortunately. Does the job fine and the cables seem higher quality than the actual device. But like I said, it does what it's supposed to and it's easy to install. Just for sitting on my desk mostly for me. However, wouldn't recommend for a traveling drive case at all. Especially not for the price.

The ideal solution for a spare hard drive.
I recovered several high capacity hard drives from failed equipment. The case and electronics that allow it to plug into a computer is the perfect solution. One drive came in the manufacturers own case, but it failed because the connector was only wired to the circuit board. I was pleased to see this new case actually supported the connector.Data throughput is very high, because of the USB-C system. There is no point quoting speeds, because USB systems between computer brands will vary greatly. It is about twice as fast as the larger and older USB connectors achieve.

If you need an oversize Hard Drive case this is for you
If yo don't need a case capable of fitting drives larger than 7mm thickness, there are cheaper options available

Perfect
EDIT: It stopped working after 4 monthsI need a new case for my four year old Seagate Backup Plus USB drive. The HDD in the case was fine but the USB to SATA connection board had a faulty connector. This worked perfectly and is much better made than the Seagate case was. The drive was a 15mm one which is much larger than the standard 7mm or 9mm drives and so quite difficult to find a case to fit.Solid construction and comes with pads if you are using a smaller drive.
